Firstly, when I arrived at the pick up location, the associate did not great me. Granted, he was on the computer tending to a customer that was in the waiting area, but he could've looked up to acknowledge I was there and would be with me when this current transaction was done. Second, admittedly, I wasn't paying attention when I made the rental and clicked suppliers choice. This associate gleefully told me he would be giving me a minivan unless I chose to pay an additional $10 per day for a smaller car. He also gleefully added that when he was at the airport, he would give travellers pick up trucks on purpose, as his way of punishing people for picking "suppliers choice". I opted for the $10 additional fee because I didn't want to deal with a minivan, but when I got to the garage, there was no cars in the garage except for a Hyundai Elantra and a Tesla. My suspicion is there was no minivan in the first place and I would like this fee reimbursed. Moreover, seeing that there were smaller vehicles, that means it was his discretion to give me a smaller car even if I did accidentally choose suppliers choice, but he smugly chose not to. Finally, when I drove the car the following day to Seattle, there was alert that my tire pressure was low. Turns out, not all gas stations have pumps and it took me 30 minutes to get to one. While the car indicated that the left rear tire was extremely low, turns out, all 4 tires needed to be pumped. The cost was $3.50 and I would like to be reimbursed for that cost. I would also appreciate additional reimbursement for the inconvenience, but I will let you decide what you think is appropriate. I can provide photographs of the tire pressure if necessary.

Pros:

The car itself was great, worked well and was easy on gas. We had no physical problems with the vehicle, and it was great that we get unlimited kilometres.

Cons:

Upon pickup, we were surprised with many hidden fees that they didn't include in the quote. I wish they would have mentioned those fees in the quote so we could account for the extra $300 we were charged into our budgeting plan. In addition, the car smelled a little odd, we had to purchase a car freshener.

Pros:

Excellent customer service from when i walked in. he, no name tag, (tall, dark hair) explained everything about car and contract. shocked at car i got WOW! (BMW). returned car on wednesday, no issues easy return. excellent customer service from alan. (still no name tag which i think is vital in business), friendly, had some laughs, called cab that arrived promptly. Thank me for reserving early and great special rate i got. These are the type of employees you keep. Thanks Marian

Pros:

Drop off transport to airport was very good. Woman was very helpfull and friendly to us.

Cons:

At pick up guy advised not to drop if at airport but in town. I m not verry familiar in vancouver so driving through town during peak hour wld have been more stressfull. And than with suitcases picking up a taxi wld also have been stressful. Dropping off at airport was great. So i m happy i followed my own instinct.

Pros:

Although the young man at the desk did not seem eager to help, when pressed, he said the manager might help us find another car rental place. And he did. That was appreciated

Cons:

I feel having a phone system that allows call to be answered and messages received would be helpful. When we were running late and called to tell them no one answered and the mailbox was full. We could not leave a message. As a consequence the car we reserved was given to someone else.

Cons:

The check in process was about an hour. The car that we were assigned was driven off of the lot to get cleaned just as we were done signing over four contracts. This led to another long delay. We recommend using another car service if you want a timely departure and good customer service.

I was very upset with the rental agency. My husband went to go pick-up the car. First it was the wrong place. So they sent a car to pick him up and take him to the right place. Then upon arrival at the other location, they tell my husband that they need to first have him get in touch with ICBC to show his driving records before they can rent him the car? I have NEVER come across this once in all the car rentals I’ve had over the years. So after he proves to them that he’s a good driver, then they take a $1,000 deposit? We only had the vehicle for 5 days? Usually at other rental agencies the deposit has been no more than around $300-$500 max. So I think there was some issues there as well. We finally got the car. In all fairness the car itself was great. We got a Toyota Corolla. Very clean and it was great on the trip. Very comfortable and great on gas. The one thing I’ll say is this, they tried to make things better, but when you have a child and you’re ready to go and all you want is to get the car and get going, to have a delay for over an hour is not good. Things aren’t being done on the scale of a larger car rental agency and it’s very obvious. They need to be more organized and the fact that they don’t mention the ICBC check on their website makes me think they don’t want the customer to know about it, since it would result in going elsewhere On a scale of 1-10, the car itself was a 10 the experience was a 2 . I will take my business elsewhere next time.

The location is very convenient and I appreciated being able to leave the car in their parking lot to pick up after our dinner and show; it saved me the hassle of having to find a parking spot and paying for it. We were also given an upgrade from compact to an SUV. I’m indifferent about this upgrade as I purposely chose a compact size so it would be easier to park. However, I recognize that we were give a hybrid SUV with many features and the car was nice to drive. I’m sure drivers with better parking skills would appreciate this upgrade if they were given the option.

I accidentally selected the wrong dates and I cannot even reschedule. So my whole money was wasted. And I was not around to even use it. Terrible customer service. Don't recommend. Would go for a more flexible option. If this is what you get for just booking, I don't even want to know what the service is like. Went with a cheaper and flexible option

The car I was given was extremely loud, making me feel very unsafe driving it. Probably a first generation hybrid, hence the noise, but I question if fit to drive at all. I also asked for a receipt upon returning the car. It was denied saying the company does not allow that. It makes no sense. How can one prove they returned the car if they can't have a receipt ? First time I hear this. The two different clerks were pleasant otherwise.
