It was impossible to change or modify the reservation. Trying to get someone on the phone was impossible at the local level and at the national level. It was an outrageous sum of money to add a day to the original reservation. It took at least 2 days to speak with someone. The website was horrible. You were in a loop and couldn't move forward or back. I think at this point all rental car companies are owned and operated in the same manner. Be prepared for a difficult time if you need to change anything for any reason.Reviewed 14 Oct 2024

Upon picking the car up, we needed to switch the card and driver on file. They cancelled the reservation and made a new one, but messed up the drop off location. We got to the drop off location and were told to call Hertz, even though we were standing right there at Hertz. The person on the phone said we would have to call the original location to get the issue fixed but in order to leave we had to pay for their clerical error.Reviewed 5 Feb 2024

Pros:Drop off and pick up was good. The car had 62,000 miles and the car drove like it. Car had acceleration problems and needed a front end alignment.Cons:These older cars need to be serviced more often to see that they are safe and drive properly.Reviewed 5 May 2021

Pros:The JAX staff were wonderful. Our first vehicle had scratches, a bald tire, windshield wiper fluid light was on, and gas tank was not full. They swapped quickly for us.Cons:I would’ve preferred to have gotten a decent rental at first and not had to swap. Also, the Hertz drop-off location instructions for MCO in phone recording are incorrect. That should be fixed. All rental returns are in Terminal A, regardless of the airline you’re flying. Circled 3 times to find location.Reviewed 2 May 2021

Pros:Really didn't care for anything about this experience.Cons:The car had a near-flat tire before I could even get out of the airport parking lot. All valve stem caps were missing and all tires were low. Put air in them after looking for air at 4 gas stations. The front tire remained low or flat the entire weekend - to the point I could not drive the car. Repeated attempts to reach out to the Hertz Roadside Service line (hours and hours on hold) yielded no one to come change or fix the tire. I finally had to leave the car in the hotel parking lot and take a hotel shuttle back to the airport on our last day. This entire experience was a nightmare. I will not rent from Hertz again.Reviewed 1 May 2021
