Pros:

Not much unfortunately.

Cons:

Provide the car that was reserved, don’t lie about why the car isn’t there ...and then get caught in the lie by your manager. Don’t provide cars that reek of smoke.

Pros:

I was unknowingly given a car with a sheet of metal hanging off the bottom of the car. It was really annoying and I was worried it set off sparks. I went to the nearest Enterprise rental and they were able to help me out and get a different car. It was a fuel efficient Toyota Camery which was perfect. I really appreciated that they were able to help me out.

Cons:

When I initially went to get a different car or get assistance because the piece of metal was hanging off the first car 15 minutes after I picked it up. They at first said they couldn’t do anything about it and that I would either have to pay a damage fee because they thought it was my fault the car had problems. They also told me to drive it back to Portland and talk to the people where I picked it up. I immediately started crying because they couldn’t help me and we’re going to make me waste all this time with this broken car on my vacation. But then they changed their minds and decided to help me and got me a different car. I guess I wish they would have been able to help me right away and I wish they would have believed me that the car came like this.

Huge line for pickup, even though I had done pre-check in online. No signage or a clear line-all who entered were confused about who was next-only the waiting customers explained the order they were waiting. The 2 busy employees didn’t tell anyone what was going on. They would stop helping check-ins any time someone came to drop keys and focus the attention onto them. Not enough cars for all who were there waiting. We were given a car that had not been cleaned or washed. The person helped before us came back to say the car he was given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, only to be told he would have to wait possibly an hour for another option. No public bathroom, nowhere nearby with a bathroom, either.

Sixt office is small in DTP, but the mighty duo Shawn and Nate were amazing. Quite a force they are, a little wait with good concerned service is all OK. Cars were limited so I got an expensive upgrade to a BMW X5, unnamed credit card but the experience of driving to the coast and mighty Columbia was all worth it.
