Great experience at check in. Very friendly. Was not pushy with things we did not need. The vehicle was as expected. Drop off was a breeze. There were no surprises. Told us how to save money on future rentals.

Unknown to the area I did not know the pickup location was far from the airport and also that it closed before my plane landed. After waiting in line over 50 minutes at the Hertz counter at the DFW off-site location (where I thought I needed to go), the staff told me the reservation was for a different Hertz location and they could not help me as they did not have any other cars. I had to rent a car from another company and while waiting at their counter, Hertz charged my credit card for a car that was never picked up. Will never do business with Hertz even if someone else is paying.

The car was fine and pick up process was ok. My only complaint is that I had to pay $70 for a taxi from the airport to the pick up location because there were no cars at the airport. When I asked if could return to the airport, I was told it would be $300 additional to do that. Seems way over priced to return it to the airport which is only 10 miles away.

My prepaid reservation was not fulfilled and I was contacted after arriving and paying $80 in cab fees. $40 going to the Hertz Dallas office and $40 to return to the DFW car rental center. Question, how do you not have a car available for a PREPAID reservation. After which, I had to pay $400 more to get a new rental for the same amount of time. The help I was offered by this specific Hertz office, was to get me the number to Kayak so I could cancel the reservation. Why wasn't this cancelled automatically after screwing me over? TERRIBLE SERVICE. WILL NEVER USE KYAK AGAIN!

The initial man I was directed to didn’t care to listen to the specifics of my situation, told me to book the rental online first even though I was standing right in front of him and he could’ve booked something for me. In the middle of me booking a car, he went on break. So I ended up being helped by two other people. The initial cost of my booking was over $900 for three days because I was going to return the car at a different city, but one of the other ladies helped me adjust my booking to accommodate my need. Overall I didn’t feel very welcomed, but the first guy (taller, skinny, dark skin, maybe Mexican) isn’t a professional, he doesn’t know how to maturely interact with customers. The other two ladies that helped me (one larger black woman with braids, the other was a smaller skinny black woman with an Afro and long red nails) were so nice and helpful. They could tell I wasn’t being assisted and jumped in. I’ll probably avoid this location in the future.

The car itself was great, the experience trying to talk to someone to get pick-up times altered when our flight got delayed was a nightmare. The 800 number charges you to speak to a person…how unfair! We will be choosing an alternate company in the future.
