When we arrived at the rental counter we were told no cars were available despite our reservation. The Dollar rep told us we should have rented through them and not Kayak. We then tried to cancel the reservation by calling the customer service number on our Kayak reservation but it was an endless blame loop of the Dollar rep saying they hadnt heard from the Kayak rep who had said he had spoken with them on the phone. We eventually got the vehicle 45 minutes later. I was also charged an extra $89 for the rental by Dollar which we will be disputing through Kayak. We never got a car because they ran out. We waited in line over an 1 1/2 hours and never even made it to the counter. Awful awful experience. We went with another rental company despite the increased cost so we could actually GET a car.Reviewed 6 July 2021

the lines to pick up the car took 50 minutes. I do not recommend Doller for rental. Also, took 23 minutes to get thru the check out in the car lot. only one person checking the cars out.Reviewed 24 June 2021

Pros:Service at Dollar was terrible, +2 hrs waiting for the car, the car below spec against my reservation and additional cost over 60% from the original cost. There is an abusive situation because you need a car quickly to join work meetings.Cons:Be clear about additional cost, insurance and fees.
