San Antonio hotels in Uptown

Cons: Rooms were a bit small. Bathroom was tiny. Large wardrobe took up a lot of space. Could hear people talking in the halways as they walked past.

Cons: Bathroom a bit cramped. Need toilet paper holders where roll first fly off.

Cons: Only one complaint: there is NOWHERE to put a towel or your clothes in the restroom. You literally have to place them on the toilet or on the floor. Not cool. Install some racks or fixture for us to put our things.

Cons: I had my truck stolen at the property and they didn't have any cameras. Apparently, there was a guard at night but maybe he was sleeping or something. No one saw anything. The truck as just suddenly there. The hotel is tucked away in a little corner and I guess is frequented by carnappers. The staff was polite but basically was just given a "that sucks, sorry." I had to ask the La Quinta across the street if they had cameras and they did but, unfortunately, nothing that was pointed at the TownePlace property. I wish I didn't have to have to ask another hotel to maybe see the parking lot. I feel like the hotel should have done something more to be helpful or SOMETHING. Sure, you've got a lot of signs out saying park at your own risk but if you can't ensure my property isn't safe while I stay at your hotel then I will definitely not stay here again.

Cons: I did not appreciate an employee being rude. Also they can improve with a thorough cleaning of the room.

Cons: Toilette was loud and running every 30 minutes or so. Close to the airport, you could really hear the planes coming and going. AC/Heat. There was no way to adjust the temperature, it was either freezing or too hot.

Cons: It was a little too far to travel every day from our daughters home, but San Antonio is a large, beautiful, busy city.

Cons: I booked a king room for my spouse and I, but because we booked through a 3rd party, we were not given a king room and none were available. The room would not cool down, even with the thermostat on 65 the room was warm. The lobby and dining area were entirely too warm to be comfortable even though the weather was mild.

Cons: Very, oh so very uncomfortable.

Cons: Upon check in I was told that because I booked through an online 3rd party they couldn't guarantee my room preference. AND I was told that I just happened to have secured the last room available and I was lucky I showed up when I did. I asked for a king bed, I got 2 double beds and I asked for a non-smoking room and got a room that was surrounded by 'smoking rooms' (why do those even exist anymore?). I usually book directly with hotels - because this is not the first time I have used a third party for hotel reservations only to be treated poorly by hotel staff and/or not end up with what I booked.

Cons: I wish the shuttle ran all night. An airport taxi severely overcharged us putting in a horrible mood before entering the hotel. $12.75 for 1 mile (less than 5 minutes) is terrible. Next time I will walk. The mini fridge in the room reaked of onions. Other than that the stay was nice

Cons: Breakfast was very packed, we passed up the street each time we went back.

Cons: The only drawback was the pillows in our room. They weren't that comfortable, but only a minor setback.

Cons: The breakfast was very unorganized.. there was no sense of structure and everything keept running the 1st morning...NOT ENOUGH SITTING AREA EITHER the 2nd morning we got up early and made plates to take up to the room. .

Cons: I got attacked by bed bugs and they didn't even offer to comp my sayu of n e thing.

Cons: Toilet did not always flush very well, bathroom smelled a bit funny, not a fan of the pillows (short & fat) although my wife liked them.

Cons: Construction going on in the lobby very messy looking unorganized. No signs or warning that the hotel was under renovation.

Cons: Checking in was AMAZING after this was awful. Beds were where we will never stay there again HARD AND SMALL we understand ,its hard to control guests ,but we called front dest at 2am to take care of a guest whos baby cried for over 1hr and we had someone knocking at our door, bad enough we couldn't sleep. Great cleaning crew Very Friendly. When leaving front desk guy NOT friendly at all and we didn't even say anything about a rough night, he was rude when we asked for a receipt, he proceeded to say well....?! IT WILL BE BLANK!!! This is OK, if customer wants receipt JUST hand one out and be friendly so YOU provide best customer service and even IF beds were uncomfortable THEY MIGHT COME BACK because YOU were great like when we arrived he was not only fantastic we called him unreadable hulk and he was so pleasant in offering fresh cookies.

Cons: The bathroom was terribly small. The door hit the toilet when we tried to open the door.

Cons: The pool was too cold to use. The decaf coffee was never hot.
