San Diego hotels near Copley Symphony Hall

Cons: Only thing I wished we had was a bath tub! We don’t have a tub at home, so I was hoping to take a bath during our stay. We were in a regular room, so I’m not sure if a suite or one of the nicer rooms might have a tub.

Cons: Not the best view of the city and the price jumped from $140/night to $299 the next night. Prices fluctuate so no big deal. We just wanted to extend our stay and weren’t able to justify they extra $$.

Cons: Only way to park is to pay 45$ A night to valet or risk getting towed on street parking and no attached restaurant so there is no room service.

Cons: The street noise is nearly unbearable. Perhaps if they upgrade the windows it may cut down on the noise a tad.

Cons: A microwave & fridge would be nice.

Cons: I didn't like the location of our room we were on the fridt floor next the the elevators and every person that was leaving the hotel with their luggage had to go by our room.

Cons: I was running a half marathon and had to pick up my car at 4am from valet and they took a little while to answer the phone. So that was a bit of an inconvenience.

Cons: Snooty front desk clerk: I was staying 2 nights on SPG points, an SPG Gold member. Took advantage of early check in and 4pm checkout - that was great. Front desk clerk says: "Sorry can't upgrade you at checkin." And I say, if I didn't check in until after my day's activities after 6pm, could I get an upgrade?" response: "No". So why did you even say that sh*t in the first place? Total droid. Also, downtown San Diego is a dreary place indeed. Homelessness abounds. And while there are nice restaurants within a mile, this particular stretch of Broadway isn't much...

Cons: The Spa Suite was a little plain in appearance for a luxury hotel but the therapist was excellent.

Cons: The pillows and I would ask not to stay facing fourth Street again.

Cons: The room smells like mold. I stated 5 hours and left. Booked a hotel next door. Worst experience ever.

Cons: Very noisy on the 4th floor exterior room all night long on a weekend.. I requested a room with a view and got a view of the rundown buildingf to peo next to us and listene.

Cons: The charge for parking is too high. We parked on nearby streets for a tenth of the cost.

Cons: The hotel cannot control this, but the area is filled with homeless and panhandlers that made it uncomfortable to walk to the Gaslamp district or Midway museum (it's worse on 4th Street). Next time we will likely stay close to the waterfront where the problem seems to be lessened.

Cons: The room was old, smelled weird, horrible wi-fi that kept kicking us off, mini fridge upon request?! Overall felt the price did not match the quality of room we received. Would NEVER stay here again or recommend to anyone!

Cons: There really isn't much to complain about for this hotel. The only thing was that the hallway smelled like residual cigarette smoke, but the rooms themselves did not smell like smoke, which was great.

Cons: $40 valet is the only parking option offered by the hotel, and although I didn't have a problem with the service, a discount for hotel guests would be nice

Cons: I did not request a handicapped room and I was put into one by mistake. I called in advance before I checked in day-of, someone told me they could change my room when I got there and the hotel was not sold out. 45 minutes later when I arrived, the desk clerk said the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. It was imperative that I have a bathtub due to personal restrictions, but I didn't have a tub - only a roll-in shower that is horrible to deal with and very messy. I was charged $42 for overnight parking in addition to a very pricey room. I won't stay here again.

Cons: Ludicrous charges for parking and resort fee in addition to my to charge

Cons: They charge you 25 dolars extra for a program where you can choose 2 beer or bicicle ride or an 1 hr tour on the bay but maybe just maybe you are not interested but you still have to pay. And the overnight parking is 50 dólares abussive.

Cons: I would like to have been told that parking was valet and $45 per night.

Cons: The balcony furniture needs to be updated. I enjoyed the balcony, however, the furniture is cheap in comparison to everything else in the room. The resort fee seems unnecessary. I was charged a fee, but never told what was included with the fee. The price increases for higher floors (so my room change cost me more money per day). The rooms could be cleaner. As nice as the hotel was, the room needed to be dusted. There was dust everywhere (on the coffee maker, in the mini bar, on the lamps, and on the remote control). It appeared as if the room hadn't been used in a while.

Cons: Staff. When talking about the view I would have when I checked in she just shrugged and said all grumpy “well it’s gonna be dark soon anyway!”. This was firstly rude. Also ridiculous because the view at night is beautiful. But very off putting right when I’m checking in and getting charged more than anticipated for parking when you have a lot on the premise! Then when I wanted to stay another night I got the run around from the front desk, that they would not match the rate I was paying, told me to make a new reservation online, then online they wanted more than the front desk. So finally I did it with the front desk but all tolled it took me a half hour to organize what should have taken two minutes. Not good customer service. And I had a towel with a big brown stain. I paid a lot after getting gouged for parking ( specifically did not stay downtown because those hotels would charge for parking ) which was not revealed on the website getaroom through kayak. You should tell them to be completely transparent on things that do not allow for me to choose to say no thank you. Also the resort fee is just dumb. S’mores?? I was very disappointed in those things and was willing to pay more but then these things made it not worth it.

Cons: This property nickel and dimes you for everything. Our quoted price jumped $40 once all the taxes and fees were added on, then upon checkin they wanted another $41 for self parking and the fee that really ticked me off was a “resort fee” of $31 they tried to add to the bill upon CHECK OUT. As an “oh by the way” after your stay. Um...NO! I felt like they kept digging deep in my pockets to get anything and everything out of me just to sleep on one of their beds for 6 hours before my flight in the morning. Definitely won’t be back for that reason alone

Cons: The second tower is a five minute walk from the first and all the nicer facilities are in the first tower.

Cons: It’s would be better if we know there is a parking fees for this hotel before we booked.it wasn’t mentioned on the booking page. It was a surprise when we found out when we checked out
