Pros: Bed was comfortable. Location is excellent. Lady in charge of breakfast super cheerful.
Cons: It's sorely in need of an update. The carpets are stained and the bathroom counters are cracked. Little road noise but it didn't bother me. View from the back isn't pretty.

Pros: Great staff, locations, and homey!
Cons: Loved the hotel! Some feedback would be more mirrors in room and change mattress. We had a little divit.

Pros: Big rooms and very clean.
Cons: I wasn't able to get the accommodations I requested (a King size bed or even an extra 30 minutes of check out time). Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but while the staff was professional they seemed very unaccommodating.

Pros: I liked the distance the hotel was to all of the shops and restaurants in Hillcrest. It was also very close to Balboa park.
Cons: I chose this hotel because it had kitchen queen studio and we spent a good time of our trip here...didnt want keep spending so much on going out to eat. The grocery stores were not a walkable distance away...which is one thing but the seal on the fridge was broken so we couldn't even use it.

Cons: Staff was nice but unprofessional, I shared a room with 5 homeless men. Upon arrival, room had foul stench and there was no mattress on the bed, simply a foam mattress topper, no more than 2 inches thick. Pillow was comparable to a bag with a newspaper stuffed into it. Overall not an ideal place, very loud and filthy. White bed frames were full of dirt and questionable stains. Bathrooms were small and not cleaned enough for their mass use. After, reluctantly falling asleep I woke up in the middle of the night to itching and several bug bites, only to find small bugs in my sheets. I can not say for sure that they were bed bugs, but regardless they left welt sized bites along the side of my stomach. Overall, horrible experience I left less than 3 hours after arriving and opted to sleep in my car for the rest of my stay in San Diego. Having stayed in hostels abroad in europe and asia, the Hostel Habibi would more accurately be described as a homeless youth shelter. Upon trying to request a refund, I was referred to my booking website, whom upon calling the hotel was told that they wouldn't refund me for the rest of my stay. Steer Clear of Hostel Habibi
