San Diego hotels in Point Loma

Cons: Bathroom fan quite loud, but it was never on for very long. We were on the street side so our view from the patio was bushes and cars. We weren't there to sit on the patio and if I wanted to see the sailboats all I had to do was walk to the marina side. No breakfast included, but with family in the area that was o.k. plus there are plenty of other choces for breakfast if you don't want to eat at the hotel.

Cons: Nothing.

Cons: We could hear doors closing , other guests talking when in our room

Cons: Bathroom sink needs attention room 401, noise from Navy base.

Cons: The third night I was there my room was near the lounge area in the building 1901 and the room was excellent, near the pool. However, there was a loud group in the lounge area after 11pm. They were very noisy and they found it difficult to quiet down even after security visited them. They just moved to a room down the hall. It was after 1am when there was quiet.

Cons: Had trouble sleeping and relaxing with poor sound proofing. We could clearly hear the people speaking in the room next to us with very little privacy. The entry door to our room also had a large gap at the floor which let in light and sound.

Cons: further than I thought from downtown but still great location $10 to park car

Cons: The beds were hard and my back had a negative reaction to it.

Cons: Bathroom door couldn’t be left open and there was no fan so it was hot and steamy. Parking too expensive for location

Cons: Don't expect early check in. When they say check in is at 4, it's at 4. But at least the location is in a great area so you can go eat or go walk around Belmont park

Cons: The bed was HORRIBLE. It was extremely loud and springy, and uncomfortable. There is a ridiculous $10 "resort fee" AND a $15 parking fee on top of that! The staff was generally okay, but the manager was unpleasant and unsympathetic: I had called ahead to try and see if we could check-in 2 hours early. The staff member was able to accommodate our early check-in by giving us a small upgrade in room (premier no-view to premier with view). I thanked the staff member and was very pleased. HOWEVER, once we got there on the day of our check-in we were attended by a manager who quickly informed us that she had not 'approved' the upgrade and therefore could not check-in for another hour. She also made sure to tell us that she knew we made our reservation online (something she apparently looked down on) and that there actually were several vacant rooms at the time we arrived, but would still have to wait an hour. That was downright rude.

Cons: We did not appreciate the "Resort Fees" It's a rip off. They are trying to pass on their cost to doing business to the customer. We had it removed. I am getting sick of these type of charges. I will not go their again if the "Resort Fees" are in place, nor any other accommodation that try the rip off. In the years past, I favored Half-Moon. When they appreciated the customer and didn't try tricks. PS We were not notified in advance of the charges. That's sneaky. I wonder why? Take a guess.

Cons: The Ac wasn't working at first (was fixed later), our bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, extremely noisy in the morning, and ceiling was ugly.

Cons: Parking was tight.

Cons: I booked a king premiere room months before our stay. Put into a queen. The carpet outside the bathroom on both sides was soaked from leaking shower or air conditioner. Patio had a "view" of the parking lot. Staff totally did not care, manager said room times booked are not guaranteed. I showed them the copy of the internet page that said "king premiere." So sorry they said, but it was not believable.

Cons: Took more than an hour for fresh towels to be brought out to the pool,after two calls from the pool bartender. Took three requests to get our room cleaned one day.

Cons: There was a lack of organization. We were assigned occupied rooms twice. The final room assignment needed housekeeping before we could settle in. The walls were extremely thin resulting in disturbingly loud night time noise. The carpeting was very old and smelled stale. As a result we never felt comfortable in this room.

Cons: Having to move out

Cons: the $10 you pay each day for wifi and the $14 for parking each day.

Cons: Some parts of the hotel were dated but it actually played into the charm of the hotel and venue... Not for everyone bout it was great if you are seeing a show or want to be close to Shelter Island and Point Loma.

Cons: Sink in the bathroom smells bad, needs to be cleaned.

Cons: They are remodeling the rooms along the back, but even our room was so nice that I feel that it didn't need a remodel. The construction noise is minimal and not a problem.

Cons: Rooms were spacious and comfortable but needs a little maintenance. We had wall paper peeling in some areas and we found some items in a cabinet left from previous guests.

Cons: The walls are a little thin and the energy is high here, but it’s definitely worth wearing the earplugs! What a cool place! Very comfortable beds, funky, homie, the fish bowls in the room were super cool, and the overall vibe is unbeatable.

Cons: The configuration of the room was very uncomfortable. The platform for the bed extended about a foot from the end of the bed so it was very easy to trip over. Having in the bed right next to the air conditioner was both noisy and uncomfortable. Wi-Fi didn't work most of the time.The description said free breakfast, they have no breakfast, the refrigerator and no coffee pot in the room. They also do not serve coffee in the morning.

Cons: Rooms are underwhelming. No room service or sundries.

Cons: They're could have been more beta tanks in my room.

Cons: Certain rooms get alot of street noise, but others are great.

Cons: 1. Walkways are small , so walking with your luggage is not easy. 2. Most of the rooms are on level 2 with no elevator. if there was, it wasn't easily visible None of the above points are a deal breaker.

Cons: Thin widows, so you could hear all of the road traffic and noise outside.

Cons: No elevator is the only downside. Hotel is a bit dated but easily overlooked by the comfort and cleanliness.

Cons: noisy and smoking people after midnight.

Cons: Storm took power out for about 7 hours first night. Internet is slow

Cons: For the first time in numerous stays front desk staff not friendly. No greetings upon entering office, not keeping up with breakfast food/drinks when they were empty and acting like it was a chore to refill what was needed or to answer questions.

Cons: The fridge, bathroom fan, and one of the lights did not work. There was a lot of construction next door so it was very noisy. Not the best location but everything is within a short driving distance.

Cons: Tight parking area, or parking on the street.

Cons: You can hear your neighbors every step, walls and floors are paper thin. Quality of a motel 6, slightly less

Cons: some of the bathroom floor tiles were lose and bathtub/shower fixtures were outdated.

Cons: The walls, door jams, and bathroom floor in the room were filthy and there were several flies and gnats flying around the room. The mattress felt like a rock and there were two large burn holes in the bedspread. I felt dirty just being in the room and cancelled my reservation immediately. Also, there were only about 15 underground parking spots reserved for guests and other than that you have to get lucky and find street parking I guess.
