Troubles All AroundPros:* The car was clean and filled with gas.Cons:* Finding the car rental place at Burbank Airport if you are not coming in for a flight is near impossible! My husband and I went around twice before we found out that there was no parking for non-rental cars and he had to drop me off at the Alamo rental place and then leave. The signs (or lack of them) made getting to my rental place on time stressful and we ended up being 15 minutes late. *Once we got onto the freeway, the car started making the high pitch sound from the window at 70 mph. We were going the speed of traffic to Chico on the 5 freeway and this loud high pitch sound made me want to turn on the radio and set it to high to drown out the sound. There must be a seal broken or something on the window but what puzzled me is that the car was relatively new with only 13, 500 miles. Need less to say, the 7 hours there and back to Chico was a very noisy annoying drive. * When we were on the streets of Chico, the car made a ratting sound. It sounded like it was on the dashboard and the rattling continue for the whole trip when the car was driven at low speeds (20 - 40 mph).Reviewed 27 Feb. 2017

Great customer service!Pros:When I made my car rental and flight reservations, I did not realize that they is a John Wayne and a Bob Hope airports, one in Burbank and other in Orange County. So I mixed both up! I landed in John Wayne airport to get my car rental and did not realize it was in Burbank, The gentleman at the desk so helpful and understanding, he tried his best to honor my car rental rate which was for Burbank and not Orange County. I was able to return the car at Burbank and Alamo honored the same rate without any additional fees. I NEVER, write comments/feedbacks, but I have so very blown away at the level of service I received from Alamo car rental I had to. Despite my oversight with the wrong locations, most everyone I spoke with and or interacted with was so helpful, friendly and professional. Please look into the names of this people, as they deserve recognition. Thank you!Cons:When I returned the car at Burbank Alamo, the female at the desk was so unfriendly and down right rude. She was so resistant to honor the rate/price, even after I explained to her that I had called Alamo and spoken with them. Finally she reluctantly adjusted and credited me back to my card, then handed me a new receipt and said "here". She did not ruin my awesome experience I had with Alamo, but she should definitely be looked into.Reviewed 1 Mar. 2017

Long Walk in Burbank CA to Pickup your CarPros:New, clean car rental area. No bus required. Cars are near the counter area.Cons:Be prepared for a very, very long walk to the car rental counter. The area is on airport grounds but good distance from baggage claim. Can be a cold but safe walk at night.Reviewed 2 Dec. 2016

Always read the fine printPros:I rented a 2017 Mustang convertible. Picked one up in black which looked super cool. It was quick and powerful. It felt safe on the road, handled like the sportscar that it is. I really liked the adjustable drive train and steering options, it was a nice touch and makes an appreciable difference in adapting to road, weather and traffic conditions. The heated and cooled leather seats were incredibly comfortable. The sound system was impressive and that coupled with the drop top made for an amazing drive.Cons:I did not appreciate the fact that Alamo, in their confirmation email regarding my reservation quoted me a price for a four day rental when I had reserved the car for ten. I rented a Mustang, not a Kia, knowing full well that it would cost more but be worth the money. I paid the $99 insurance at the time of reservation online then got slammed at the rental pickup with a price that was nearly $300 over the quote in the email. This really fouled up our trip budget, leaving me with zero cash for almost two weeks (the bulk of our trip) and forcing us to pay for nearly everything on one credit card. Unfortunately I will not be renting from Alamo again.Reviewed 18 Feb. 2017

Pros:Easy breezy. Used automated machine. Valet had the pick-up truck waiting for me.Cons:I had to catch an uber at a designated lot across the campus of the airport and they charged that uber 3 dollars which was added to my fate for them picking me up In the designated lot. I will never pick-up and drop off a vehicle from Burbank airport again because of this.Reviewed 28 Oct. 2016

Pros:The young man at the Alamo desk at Bob Hope was very kind, gracious and professional. I have bipolar disorder and was very rude to him. I didn't intend to be mean, but I was and I still feel horrible about the way I acted. The car we got was a free upgrade. The Nissan was wonderful. And in perfect condition.Reviewed 21 Jul. 2016
