7 passener van MIGHT hold 5 people w little luggageCons:The photos and description of a full sized van were completely off base. there was 0 leg room, even for a child to sit in the back seat. and no luggage room for more than 1 suitcase. Who brings 7 people from the airport with 1 suitcase? no one. Then Budget only had a 9 passenger manual van available--at double the cost! Three different customers had to return to the counter from airport parking to complain about their cars during the 2-3 hour ordeal while we were waiting to tour the country after an international overnight flight. I changed companies at the airport. and I won't use this company again.Reviewed 9 Nov. 2017

Worst rental experience everCons:I rent cars often but this place was alwas trying to over charge you some extra fees. They're sneaky about everything and I wiukdntvtrust them. A usual rental car that runs bet. $50-$70 was about to get to over $100. Fees that no other rental office, budget or other then budget would charge you. Thumb down.Reviewed 25 Nov. 2016

Pros:NothingCons:I waited in Tel Aviv to get the car for over a half hour in line then they rented a car that tons of damage on it which I had a mark down on a piece of paper and I had to take pictures and video with my phone so they know it wasn't something I did they said the car was spacious enough for seven people and three luggage is at least and there were no small seats the back the seats were tiny The trunk couldn't even hold my carriage then there are also some hidden fees that cost me a little bit more each day something about insurance that you have to have it didn't say that when I booked it here I wish I can get my money back for it definitely was not worth it for meReviewed 6 Sep. 2017

Not worth the rental costPros:Nothing!Cons:1. No one was at the pickup location of car. New policy by budget. Many damages were on the cars that were not marked on papers. They told me to take photos. Wasted 2 hours in the process. No one at the desk seemed to care too much. 2. Radio in the car didn't work good. 3. When I return the car they looked for damages under the car that were not mine. I needed to argue not to billed about this. 4. A friend of mine had the same issues few days ago as well renting from the airport. Will never rent from them again. Renting a car supposed to be an easy pleasant experience. It's not about extorting as much money as possible from customer. Bad.Reviewed 5 Dec. 2017

The add on fees will kill youPros:The Car model was nice, but it was in bad shape. Had dents, stains, scratches, old decal imprints, etc.Cons:Reserved the car for one month and was given a very good price. When checking in line was long and it took about 45 minutes to get the car. Because the flight was late the car reserved was no longer available (I don't believe that), but they had an upgrade for $60 more (they gotcha). Even though I had credit card coverage for collision they get you for Liability (I don't mind reasonable, but $14/day for 30 days is $420 tacked on (My yearly insurance at home is just a little more). If you take any toll roads, bridges or tunnels even once, they tack on a $15 handling fee to whatever the road fees are.Reviewed 8 Mar. 2018

Rental at Ben Gurion AirportPros:I rented a compact that turned out to be a Hyudai. Unlike other "compacts" I've rented from other agencies, this one had room in it. And, as I discovered, numerous safety features including a back-up camera with a full-size and sensors that warned me if I strayed across lanes or got too close to the car in front of me. And the car got around 35 MPG in mixed driving. And the price, including the mandatory LDW, was very reasonable. One of the best cars I've ever rented, particularly given the price.Cons:There was no way to find out how much the LDW cost until I got to the rental counter. The U.S. agent I talked to knew nothing about any mandatory fees that couldn't be waived with a suitable credit card or proof of coverage. Budget--and all of the other Israeli rental agencies--should be required to disclosed this information when you reserve the car.Reviewed 7 Mar. 2017

Pros:The car was decently clean.Cons:The cars tires were all low on air the tire pressure indicator came on shortly after getting the car and we had to take care of it. The website said it would fit 5 people and luggage it most definitely did not the trunk barely fit one suitcase and we had to put the other on the back seat. Pickup took over an hour and a half they were extremely disorganized very aggravating situation. Drop off you kind of give them the car and they dont tell you anything and rush you to the terminal you have no way of knowing if there might be any issues until you are half way around the world. Very annoying. For some reason instead of just pying for the tools they charge you a $15 surcharge fee for the first toll that you hit why do they need to rip you off?Reviewed 3 Jan. 2017

Hidden Fees Triple Cost of RentalPros:Car was clean and in good condition.Cons:Upon arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, we were informed by the Budget counter that there was a mandatory third party insurance policy that would cost us $16 per day. This tripled the cost of our rental car! Instead of $115.50, the total came to $305.50. At that point – after having traveled internationally with an infant – we felt we had no choice but to agree to the terms and pay the additional fees. Had we been informed up front of the actual cost of the vehicle, including the mandatory insurance, we would have (a) considered a cheaper vehicle, instead of the “Standard” vehicle we had chosen; (b) looked to purchase the insurance separately, rather than through Budget at the time of the rental; (c) thought about other transportation options during our stay in order to limit the cost of the car rental.Reviewed 6 Oct. 2017

Cons:The cost of the rental initially presented was about twice less that the final charge. Representative from the Budget Rental company refused to release the car for rent without the purchasing of the insurance even it is stating initially that it is not required. I even mentioned that our company has a corporate insurance contract with Budget I had to ay more that double ($303 vs $127). I had to take the car as I did not make any other arrangements and they knew that. The first car I received did not work so I had to change the car. Both of them had multiple damages so I had to spend the time to take the pictures of all these areas (actually all over the car).Reviewed 15 Feb. 2018

Pick up and drop off was the issue.Pros:The car had plenty of trunk space to fit a wheelchair. It was a comfortable ride and inside was clean. It had several outside ding dents scratches but who cares. The women who served me at counter was not friendly and actually said "do you want to rent or not" filled by "you can go next counter to Avis " Murmured in Hebrew to her colleagues and made a nasty comment that I understood.Cons:In booking with Kayak the Budget Car site stated that pick up and drop off of automobiles are at the same terminal where you land which is terminal 1. So I reserved with Budget. The truth was you pick up at the terminal 1 but the drop off was at a complete different terminal, terminal 3. It was a huge problem because of the number of suitcases and the wheelchair. With the need to take a shuttle to the departure terminal. I needed much more time and leave an extra hour early. The car had no remote to open the locks and only the drivers side had a key, again not convenient when you have someone in a wheelchair. Had I known I would of reserved with another car company that offer pick up and drop off at same terminal.Reviewed 5 Feb. 2017

very slow; expect feesCons:the pickup line was complete chaos and took about 45 minutes to move through 7 people. the reason i chose this car rental was the price on kayak--but kayak does not inform you (or makes it very very hard to see) that there is mandatory third party insurance required fro all rentals in israel. this is not the same as CDW that most credit cards cover. my $10/day rental ended up being close to $40/day ($15/day in mandatory third party insurance). if it is mandatory, it should be included in the cost of the rental up front. there is NO ONE at the car park when you pick up the car--so you have to know that you need to take pictures of any damage that isnt already noted in your rental agreement. the lines and service from avis and hertz were MUCH better--budget was a mess!!!Reviewed 9 May 2017

Be aware of the fraudulent chargesPros:The car drove wellCons:Apparently Israel has mandatory insurance charges per day, which was not clearly explained to me. They also talked me into buying additional insurance. I returned the car back fully gassed and they said that I was off by 1/8 and charged me over $10. Additionally, they told me that I can return the car to another branch near my hotel, but there was a Pride parade that day and the branch was closed. After arguing back and forth, they took off 1 day, but left on all of the insurance. I paid 3x more then what Kayak quoted me, and had a terrible experience with their customer service division.Reviewed 16 Jun. 2017
