Top tips for finding cheap flights to Tel Aviv

  • Book at least 1 week before departure in order to get a below-average price.
  • High season is considered to be January, November and December. The cheapest month to fly from Australia is May.
  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Tel Aviv flight deals.
  • If you need something from a chemist on arrival at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV), Sky Pharm is located in Terminal 3 on the third floor and is open from Sunday to Thursday, 07:00-21:00.
  • If you would like to get connected to a mobile network on arrival, you can purchase SIM cards and data packages or hire devices and mini routers from the telecom provider by Concourse D in Terminal 3.
  • If you would like a coffee or a snack on arrival, there is an Italian bakery in the reception hall of Terminal 3, where you can get pizzas, focaccia, pastries and cakes, as well as hot and cold drinks.
  • If you are being collected from the airport by family or friends, there are two short-term car parks for Terminal 3. These are Orchard Car Park in the eastern building and Vineyard Car Park in the western building. You can pay for parking with a credit card, foreign currency or Israeli currency.
  • Flights to Tel Aviv from Australia will land at T3 in Ben Gurion Airport. This terminal building is the main international terminal for the airport and receives flights from all Australian routes. T1 is the terminal for domestic departures (all flights arrive at T3) as well as low-cost European airlines, so if you are continuing to another place in Israel you will need to transfer between terminals.
  • Ben Gurion Airport has a special baby care room dedicated to parents who are travelling with babies. The room consists of a nappy changing table, hot and cold water, a microwave for heating food and three nursing booths with comfortable chairs for you to relax in and feed your baby in peace.
  • It is important to note that if you have flights to Tel Aviv arriving on a Friday evening or Saturday, you will not be able to use public transport to get from the airport to your next destination – there are no services operating on Shabbat. It will still be possible to use rental cars or taxis, however, as these will be operational at this time. If taking a taxi it is important that you organize this through the official taxi dispatcher outside Terminal 3 (found on Level G near the exit from Gate 1), as this should guarantee that you are paying the correct fare.
  • There is free Wi-Fi access throughout all terminals at Ben Gurion Airport. Netvision is the service provider, so select their network to be able to surf the Internet for free as soon as you enter the terminal buildings.
  • If you crave a moment of quiet contemplation after disembarking your flight, Ben Gurion Airport has two synagogues in the international terminal, T3. There is one in the eastern gallery on the first floor of the greeters’ hall and one in the duty free area in departures after security. The synagogues are open 24/7.

Good food, real silverware, polite staff, smooth landing, charging plugs, good entertainment options.

Comfort and customer service from most if the crew was great. The crew reassigning passengers should consider the presence of infants when reassigning seats. Unfortunately a couple of oversized passengers were relocated next to us, making this segment a bit uncomfortable, as there was not only extra leg space required. I ended up swapping seats with my husband so our baby wouldn't be impacted. My husband travelled quite uncomfortable as the reassigned neighbour shoulder and arm ended up on my husband's seat

On this flight, about the last 2 hours the captain kept the cabin too hot. It appeared like the ac was off.

The ground staff on Islamabad is horrible. The on board services are excellent.

Priority boarding for Silver and Premium Economy was very disorganised, in fact, non-existent.

A very disappointing flight on this Emirates business class. Staff were not efficient and service was not the e usual Emirates experience. Good was particularly bad with very dry chicken and drinks that I had to press call button before getting a drink as my food sat and continue to get cold.

Bad Cancel the flight Came back to work only 3 days after Horrible Won’t help with hotel while we stock Horrible Don’t fly with them

Not too happy with ground staff at Dubai airport. We had asked for wheel chair, and we were told to walk a long distance, poorly organised. And then at boarding to Mumbai flight wecwere treated rudely by the local Emirates staff forced to check in our cabin bags, we told them we were transiting.

Seats are not as easy to move as you would hope in premium econo Y

When you buy emirates you don’t expect low cost. Boarding by bus. Seat will not incline. Line before emergency exit. Eating tray hits belly (and I didn’t grow lately). Entertainment on demand by payment.

My suitcase was severely damaged. I didn't realize the degree until after I exited the luggage area. I submitted an online form and was informed it might be a few weeks until someone got back to me. Ridiculous. I have to return to the USA with it?!

2 hours on the tarmac then another 20 minutes at the gate make for a poor experience

Very old plane, small, no screens, no charging ports. It was 4 hour of pain! I would not recommend this flight, not to mention that it costed $800, which is a total ripoff. Don't recommend!

Poor food. No seats screens only WiFi and not text messages. No in flight information for the flight . Took off one hour late.

The check in was very slow and we had to wait more than half an hour at the reception ! No priority for Platinum passengers

Non responsive and affable flight attendants. Preordered fruit dish delivered “by mistake” to a different passenger!

It was a good flight arrived on time with great crew and tasty food.(Business class)

The plain was 1 hour late. The drinking cup are ridiculously small

My El Al flight was awful - very uncomfortable seats, like short-haul Spirit Airlines not good for a 15-hour flight. My aisle seat stuck out into the aisle so was constantly banged into by flight attendant-driven carts - no apologies given at any time- and people waiting to use the toilet. Flight attendants literally yelling at passengers to sit down a half hour before landing - a lot of yelling in general. Especially unwelcome at 3am.

Everything was good, but there was a delay of about an hour

The staff were wonderful but the seats weren't very comfortable for a bigger guy like me.

Likes: on time departure, new plane Didn’t like:very poor quality food, very limited entertainment.no amenity kit etc.

The flight take time was changed 23 times. The system kept sending messages it will be earlier at 4am and eventually the flight was at 9am I didn’t sleep all night because of that

This flight was a dreamliner so I think the space was ok for the legs, but the option for food was again limited and the crew was same.

The seat was like there is no leg space....there were no proper option for food in the airline. It seemed like the airline was at brink of bankruptcy. The crew was helpful except for a few.

Boarding was efficient, had to check in cabin luggage. Seats were narrow, food was more in quantity, received cabin luggage on the luggage belt which was fine.

Needs better seat for business class. My seat was falling apart. Also no WiFi on that flight

Good. The food was very bad. Except for the chicken rice, rest of the dish went to trash.

Liked leg room Disliked unable to book to sit with my family on same flight without paying extra

Lovely crew - comfortable journey despite it being an older plane.

Aer Lingus was the actual airline so they handled everything professionally.

Attitude of crew could be more friendly and less stern and instructive.

This was a HORRIBLE experience. I booked a two-leg flight from Reykjavik to Istanbul. My first flight ran 3 hours late and I then missed my flight to Istanbul. British Airways put me on a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul. No harm done, right? Wrong. The Turkish Airlines flight turned out to be overbooked. By the time I learned of this, British Airways closed their help desk. To add insult to injury, they helped one person in front of me before casually putting up a closed sign even though they knew I was stranded (their fault!) and needed help. I ended up spending $1000+ out of pocket to clean up their mess (including the flight to Johannesburg I had to rebook since BA delayed me so much) and haven’t heard a word about reimbursement. I have never had such an awful travel experience in my life. I know delays happen, but they need to take care of their passengers when these things happen, not leave us stranded in a foreign country in the middle of the night with nowhere to go.

5 days later I have not yet received my luggage so terrible and unacceptable

British Airways keeps canceling our flights. They have lost my trust in using their services again. I understand rescheduling once but twice? I am now arriving at home 36 hours later than the first flight that I booked.

I could not charge my phone the entire night or read my book, as the whole middle isle was without power.

Flight was fine but diverted to a different airport. I was also assigned a seat that I wasn’t allowed to change during the check in process, which was odd.

More than 3 hours delayed. And they knew about it the night before already. I had a laugh when the captain said - don’t take out your frustration on the staff. Before take off Business class seats had very little space. My knees were digging into the seat in front

Pretty disappointing. Paid for business class. It was burning up the entire flight. For a 7 hr flight, after the first few hrs. The crew disappeared. Poor service.

After boarding, take off delayed 45 minutes with us just sitting there. I think this a Heathrow problem

Terrible. Air India canceled my flight out of Kathmandu because of airport constructions but did not tell me. They should not be selling night flights out of Kathmandu right now that they know they will not honor. The staff was terrible and not helpful with my rebooking or compensating me.

Good experience, comfortable seats. Entertainment did not work but vista wifi and entertainment worked great.

The aircraft interiors are falling apart. Felt like a waste paying for business class as it was indistinguishable from economy in any way.

Food a little spicy for me, but I’m not a vegan. I would fly Air India again.

Everything was bad and entertainment did not work and no landing cards and overall done with Air India

The planes are dated and need upgrades. Seats are not comfortable and entertainment equipment doesn’t work

Flies in the flight, broken seats, broken entertainment system and display - worst flight ever

The seats were extremely uncomfortable. Air India seats used to be very comfortable . with sufficient legroom. In this aircraft there was no legroom. It is a shame that for your profit margins you are trying to pack people like cattle on these long haul flights. The food was terrible. The bread was hard like a rock. Mr CEO of Air India, why don’t you take a flight in economy from India to USA and experience the hardships first hand. It is utter disgrace

Absolutely nothing. Cold and unpleasant airline staff, and to top it all, the entertainment system was broken. Really harrowing experience.

BAD experience. Entertainment system was not working and most of the passengers had this issue. Staff was not helpful. Meal was yuck. Bad old flights.
