Huge Problem - but it got fixedPros:After experiencing the horrible problems, becoming incredibly hot, having to drive back to the airport, and paying the extra tolls, the gentleman at the booth was very apologetic, and switched me to a working van immediately without any further hassle - by him politely and quickly fixing the problem, the lost day would have been completely ruined. EZ should fire immediately the people who lent the first vehicle, and commend the gentlemen who lent me the replacement vehicle. Also, why have a phone number than no one answers, and have a message system where no one returns messages?Cons:I drove away from EZ at Logan Int'l in Boston with a minivan, and did not notice till I had left the garage and was in a heavy traffic flow that the van was dirty on the inside - dust everywhere that no one had wiped for a while, but far more importantly it was 95 degrees out AND THE AIR CONDITIONER DID NOT WORK - it only blew UNconditioned air. I had places to go right away and pick up family members and of course had paid the toll to leave the airport, and I did not want to return unless EZ had a working replacement. I called, and called and called their numbers, left message after message for several hours - NEVER received a call back, and no one EVER answered the phone. Five hours later I was able to go back to the airport and luckily there was a replacement van, but I, plus my familt members were fully perspired. And, when they got in the back of the van, realized the seat was broken and not secure. Ridiculous.Reviewed 17 Aug. 2016

Signage could be a little betterPros:Allied was easy to spot but the EZ Rent sign was tiny.Cons:Overall quality experience, I would have appreciate a more clearly delineated set of rules for how clean the vehicle needs to be upon return.Reviewed 26 Nov. 2018

Worst car company in the world!Pros:The car was cheaper than anywhere else. Now I know why. I got a car with almost 50k miles on the clock, it was a wreck and was filthy. I hired my car for 3 weeks, so when I went back and asked for another one, it was refused. The worst thing if all was that the windshield had never been throughly cleaned, nor the wipers ever replaced, so everything it rained, I was blind driving! I tried to replace the wipers, but no Autoshop carried them. I had to throughly clean the windshield and wipers daily as there were several snow storms and I couldn't drive blind. I bought rain x to help me, but this car was dangerous. Also, the engine made rattling noises like it was running on no oil, and the gearbox had a mind of its own. To add insult to injury, when I went to return the car, there guys had moved yards! No effort to tell me when I picked up the rental, nor to phone or email. I was gobsmacked! Never, never rent from here, this is known as Ez rent a car, Advantage rent a car and Europcar. Walking is a better option!Reviewed 4 Jan. 2017

Rental car without power windows or locks in 2016?Pros:AC worked in Miami heatCons:Employee encouraged me to upgrade but did NOT inform me of the lack of features in my rental: NO power locks NO power windows black interior gets SUPER hot in Florida sun $10/day for spouse when most other rental companies I've used include it for free $8/day for toll pass (hardly used), no clear explanation of alternative offered by employee ("they don't have booths" so then is there even an option?!) $200 hold that gets refunded is NOT explicitly stated in the contract and explanation offered by employee was insufficient (my husband is a lawyer) Felt nickeled and dimed - cheapest price online but after added expenses at pick-up, felt I should have gone elsewhere that was more transparent I will NOT use E-Z again.Reviewed 14 Sep. 2016

Pros:One of the agents working was very professional, but overall our experience was poor.Cons:While technically the location was near the airport, it is not on site as advertised. It's about two miles away, which you'd never know because you have to allow between one and two hours to get to their rental office from the airport as there is only one shuttle. The office is in a terrible neighborhood, the facility is dirty, and the customer service was overall mediocre. Our car hadn't been cleaned, but they had no other vehicle for us and since we'd been waiting nearly three hours to get this car, we took what we could. The tire pressure was low, there was dirt on the floors and ceiling, and smeared blood on the driver seat upholstery. Our return flight was cancelled which resulted in us having to fly out of Sacramento, and when we looked up the location of the EZ return facility at the Sacramento airport, we couldn't find it - apparently they closed their desk there and never told anyone. Thankful for the manager of Enterprise who was able to handle the situation for us so that we didn't miss our flight. This was a comically poor experience - save yourself the hassle and try not to even think about this company's existence while looking for rental cars.Reviewed 17 Oct. 2019

Pros:The car was fineCons:The Pick up experience took over an hour from the shuttle dropping me off at the rental facility, to being taken to the car. it appeared as if there was no plan to help the volume of customers arriving in the late Friday evening, even though this is ski season and they knew full well the number of renters who would arrive. In addition, the people at the check in counter aggressively upsold, convincing me that I should pre-pay for a full tank of gas when that was not the best thing for me. Sneaky Toll FeesCons:When we picked our car up, we were told that we would be ok without using the toll transponder they try to 'add on' for some ridiculous amount per day as long as we had plenty of change and paid all the tolls....well, it would have been good to know there are some CASHLESS tolls in Florida...i.e. places where you CANNOT pull into a slower lane and pay cash ...where you MUST have a transponder to pay....so, we got a bill a few months later for $26 - the $1 toll we 'missed' plus a $25 admin fee! I called and complained and they did 'cut it in half' and so, we paid $13.50 for our $1 toll but it was very annoying and seems pretty shady. I'm sure they're making a mint off of all these 'admin fees'.Reviewed 10 May 2018

Dangerous rentalPros:Check out took forever. We got a 2014 mitsubishi and took it to our rental and the very next morning the tire air light went off. We out air twice in the tires. The wipers did not work well and on the island it rains on and off and we needed it quite a bit for the 12 days. We then had the wrench light go off the entire trip. 4 days into the trip before we moved south we brought it in and had it looked at but there were no other cars available so all they can do was clean the wipers. Not to forget to mention the tires were bald and that made driving a hazard. The employees most were fine. The service guy who tried to help was nice.Reviewed 8 Jan. 2016
