Worthless reservation and shady tacticsPros:The van was fairly clean upon pickup and was a newer model with nice features.Cons:Where to begin, I was scheduled to pick my van up at the San Antonio Airport and the whole process took over an hour from start to finish. After flying all day the last thing I wanted to do was wait around for something I had already reserved through Kayak. The first issue came when I tried use a debit card to pay for the vehicle. I had called ahead to be sure that was ok but they refused the accept the card for my non profit because it said my name and the name of the non profit. After working through that issue at the first counter, I was met by someone who is best described as a used car salesman. There they try to sell me on several things that weren't on my reservation and/or charge extra for things that were already included on my initial reservation. The individual working here also said I must have insurance to take the vehicle from their lot, which apparantly isn't true. She then charges me for insurance and roadside assistance (claiming it's a package deal) at 4 times the rate my original reservation was for. This is all done under my original transaction at the first counter without any further authorization. At this point I was charged 200 dollars (20%) more than my original reservation. I ask to speak to a manager and of course there wasn't one on duty until the morning. Once more, prior to leaving the rental complex, there was another individual trying to sell me a GPS. She attempted to use high pressure sales tactics and literally held me in the complex while she did it because she controlled the gate. It took 3 different sales people, over an hour, and 200 additional dollars to leave with the vehicle I had already reserved. After having to change my plans to drive all the way back to airport, the manager I spoke to simply said that I didn't have to agree to all those extras even though I was told I needed them. He also said that they were authorized to charge the extra amount to my card because I had clicked "ok" on the rental agreement, even though it didn't show any extra charges. The return process was also a mess. The San Antonio Airport rental complex lists 7' for the maximum height, yet the van they gave me required 9'. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes to speak to the desk, they assured me it would fit and to just drive it through the plastic height tube. As Inhad guessed, it barely fit and I had to have spotter to ensure I didn't scrape the roof on the parking garage ceiling. After getting it to the return line, they had the audacity to threaten to charge me for the scuffs the plastic height tube caused. After explaining it, they said they wouldn't, but who knows if that changes. All and all, this experience from start to finish was terrible. From Enterprises shady car dealership tactics to the poorly designed rental complex and even Kayaks meaningless reservations. Needless to say, I won't be renting through Kayak or using Enterprise ever again.Reviewed 5 Sep. 2018

Cons:Why is the so called "airport dropoff" not at the same location where i picked up the car. It was at some remote deserted looking "truck rental" location that was closed at 6pm with, of course, no shuttle service to the terminal. F**king pathetic!!!Reviewed 16 Feb. 2018

Understaffed and inefficientCons:The San Antonio Airport Enterprise operation is a mess. First, you stand in line to present your driver's license and credit card. Then, you stand in another line to be escorted to your car. Finally, you wait in line to exit the lot where everything has to be re-examined. What a waste of time.Reviewed 19 Nov. 2016

Pros:Drop off was easy. Staff was incredibly friendly and apologetic for the delays.Cons:Had to wait over 1 hour for the car pickup, even though it was reserved well in advance. I felt like I was being lied to about status of "15 minutes" over and over again- always some new excuse. Then when I finally got the van, they couldn't read it in the system and pulled up another similar van. If they had 2, why was I waiting 1.5 hours for one to be returned to that location?Reviewed 14 Oct. 2019
