Our first rental through Turo was somehow cancelled on us. We went to Fox and were helped by Thomas. He was wonderful to us and helped us get a car ASAP. I recommend.Reviewed 4 May 2025

I saw an additional fee for cross-border travel that I had not expected and that was not explained to me. That is disappointing.Reviewed 4 May 2025

Absolutely unacceptable experience – negligent, unprofessional, and completely frustrating. While the desk agent was polite, that’s about the only positive thing I can say. The vehicle I was given was clearly not inspected before being handed off to me. I understand rentals can have quick turnarounds, but basic safety checks like working lights and proper tire pressure are non-negotiable. It was appalling to see another customer being brushed off when they pointed out a broken taillight and were simply told “don’t worry about it.” Seriously? In my own case, I raised concerns about the low tire pressure reading and asked if there was an air machine. Instead of a proper inspection, an employee casually said, “It’s just a bad sensor. Don’t worry about it.” When I insisted on having it checked, he handed me the air hose and told me to fill the tires – then walked away! Unbelievable. Turns out the sensors were fine – the tires actually needed air, which I had to confirm and address myself. On top of that, the lower driver-side cover was literally dragging on the ground while driving. How is this considered road-ready? To make matters worse, the drop-off process is a nightmare. The location has limited hours (8 AM to 6:30 PM), and for after-hours drop-off, you're told to take pictures and email them. Except – their email inbox is full, so your messages bounce back undelivered. Their phone line? Either constantly busy or flat-out ignored – I’ve called over 20 times in the last 22 hours with zero response. And good luck getting help from their parent company, Fox Rent A Car – the reps are clearly reading from scripts and offer no real assistance. Now it’s been over 30 hours since I dropped off the car, and I still haven’t received any confirmation, acknowledgment, or receipt. I have no idea if they even know where the vehicle is, and I’m left worrying about being charged for late return or ongoing parking fees – which, by the way, they force customers to cover for after-hours returns. This is hands down one of the most irresponsible, disorganized rental operations I’ve ever dealt with. If you care about your time, money, and safety – stay far away from this place. They do not deserve your business.Reviewed 29 Apr 2025

The staff is extremely rude and incredibly slow in processing your rental and rental return. We bought full coverage for the car, and they still spent 20 minutes inspecting the car for previously documented damages upon our return of the vehicle. Never again.Reviewed 25 Apr 2025

They totally overpriced “mandatory insurance “ to triple the rental cost from what was quoted by Kayak.Reviewed 17 Apr 2025

The rental company was not Fox, as was listed when I booked, but another company called Gold Car. I couldn’t find their service counter at the airport and went instead to the car park and asked a man wearing a Gold Car uniform for help and he was extremely rude and literally mocked me. He repeated what I said several times like a child and sarcastically told me I was in the wrong place. I made it to the Gold Car service counter, hidden in the corner, and the agent behind the counter was yelling loudly and aggressively at the female customer in front of me. It was awkward to witness and be near. Another service agent was also helping her, but neither seemed nice or welcoming. The yelling man asked me for my reservation number and, because I had booked through Kayak, I had a confirmation number instead. He was extremely upset and rude and I fumbled to look through the email I’d received to find the correct number. I guess he was angry that we had booked through a third party, but how was I to know that would send him raging and there wasn’t anything I could I do at that point. He then asked for my international drivers license. I have one, from previous trips, but I’ve never had a rental car company ask for it. I have usually only showed my passport, so I unfortunately didn’t have the international drivers license with me. I tried to show him a picture of my international drivers license and the info, but he angrily yelled that he needed a physical copy and told me he couldn’t rent the car to me and stormed away. I understand that this may be a policy this company has, but I wasn’t given any of that information beforehand. How could I know that if I didn’t even know the real company that would be renting the car to me? Regardless of me not meeting the guidelines of this policy, every employee was rude and aggressive from the start and made me feel threatened and uncomfortable. I was kind of relieved when he refused to rent to me because that meant I could just walk away and choose another company. I ended up renting a car with another company without any issues, but getting aggressively yelled at by multiple angry men the moment I landed in Spain literally ruined my holiday. It takes quite a while to recover and get over such an experience and feel welcome as a tourist when you start with such a bad experience. I obviously will NEVER book a car rental through Kayak or any third party company again. The price is too amazing to be true so I guess you get what you’re paying for. This was an extremely awful experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life.Reviewed 7 Apr 2025
