I honestly don't think anything could've been done better. My husband is not a fan of smaller cars but we couldn't see renting something big for 3 days. All of the employees were super friendly & helpful with our rental experience. Thank you for that.Reviewed 15 Sept 2024

The car was clean, comfortable. But when I booked, I paid 85$ as quoted and when I got to the counter to pick up the car, I was charged another 200$ that would cover 150$ as a "return fee" that was not disclosed anywhere because I was picking the car up at San Diego and returning it in Phoenix. I don't mind paying a fee as long as it is disclosed ahead of time and I can fully make the decision to rent or not, by comparing with other services. The counter representative only explained that it would be refunded once the car was returned. I returned it the same it was rented, (Sat 5 of sept) and the money has not been refunded (as of 9/9 9:29am). Maybe I have to wait a little longer to get the refund but there was a lack of clarity from the representative to explain where in the contract that I was to sign, it stated that it was going to be refunded. I asked how I could be assured that the money was going to be refunded and the only response was that it would. The one thing I will praise was the car attendant that received the car in Sky harbor airport in Phoenix, I did not get his name but he was very helpful, and guided me out of the rental area at 11pm. Very kind of him. For safety, I will write to Fox to let them know that as I was braking in the winding downhill road towards Phoenix, the car wheel was trembling and I had to descend at less than 50mph to be able to keep the car stable, probably an issue with tire balance. Crossing my fingers I get the refund, but this should not be the case.Reviewed 9 Sept 2024

My flight was cancelled/delayed and Fox would not honor my reservation when I arrived. They sent me to a different off site car rental company. I was over charged for the type of car I received. It was all very sketchy.Reviewed 25 July 2024

Pros:Staff was friendlyCons:My vehicle was not ready on time so I had to return later. When I returned I was given the wrong vehicle, much less than I had paid for. The manager was not able to give discount because the rental was purchased thru Kayak. Will most likely never use Kayak or Fox again.Reviewed 31 Aug 2020

Pros:Drop off and pick up was very easyCons:We had our rental car broke into and staff that I called laughed at me saying my claim number was wrong. They also told me that if we needed to be picked up they couldn’t do it because we had a family of 5 and they could only take up to 4 people. So stayed that we had to find a ride to the airport ourselves or just drive it back in the condition it was in. They also told me that even though we had a bad situation happen if our car was not back on time we would get charged for it being late and entire extra day. We also we supposed to get a gull size car and we did not get that. Very disappointed and will not rent from them again!!!!Reviewed 7 Jan 2020

Pros:friendly staffCons:took awhile to get through the line at the counter for pick-up. And, when I needed to change the credit card I initially used, I couldn't do it at drop-off. it took quite a process to get it switched.Reviewed 5 Jan 2020

Cons:Fox refused to honor the price agreed upon through Kayak. They were going to charge me $65 more per day. I will never rent with Fox and may never use Kayak again.Reviewed 5 Jan 2020

Pros:staff was ok, but far from friendly. pickup guy failed to note the car was smashed in the side and repaired (evidenced by the non factory two tone paint work) and the return guy barely looked up from his device...Cons:it sure would have been nice to get the car i reserved (Toyota RAV4) or Better instead of the POS Mitsubishi Outlander (Sport(!) no less!!) i got for my family of four. poor comfort, lousy handling, acceleration, fit AND finish. an otherwise outstanding two week trip ended up be a series of non stop jokes over what a lousy vehicle we had.Reviewed 4 Jan 2020

Cons:No children's car seats, had to purchase one myself. The rental agent lied to me about local gas prices to get me to purchase gas through Fox.Reviewed 31 Dec 2019

Cons:Got ripped off. A lot of extra charges at pick-up, even though we were led to believe that we already paid ALL of it. Then, when trying to discuss it, they dismissed us and said they won’t do anything about it.Reviewed 31 Dec 2019
