Worst experiencePros:The drop off was quick and easy.Cons:After we dropped the vehicle off we realized we had left a work issued iPad in the passenger seat. We immediately called after realizing it and did not get through. My husband called again, spoke with someone who said they wrote an email to the manager and that we should be getting a callback within 24 hours. After 24 hours, we heard nothing. I emailed them after not being able to get a hold of anyone again. We have yet to hear anything from fox. I'm not sure what the point of having a lost and found is if you are never able to get a hold of anyone. We will never be renting from fox again and will make sure that we tell those who want to rent a vehicle to not use them. I would have rather payed more money to a company who actually has some form of customer service. I know that they're not responsible for lost items but a call back would have been the least they could have done. Worst experience I have ever had.Reviewed 18 Oct. 2015

I didn’t even rent the car I went to hertzCons:The customer service was horrible, I wasn’t aware that bank card with a visa or MasterCard logo are not a valid method of payment, the clerk only stated that debit card even with a visa or MasterCard logo are not accepted. Instead of explaining to me that it is the policy of all the rental car services at the airport the clerk kept shaking his head and saying no. The clerk was very smug about it and seemed to be enjoying my frustration. I then went to Hertz they explained to me why debit cards are not accepted so I reluctantly went back home to pick up my credit card and returned then rented from hertzReviewed 15 Aug. 2018

Pros:P Staff was awesome, only two of them on shift but both really nice guys dealing with really nasty people.Cons:Pick up took well over an hour and a half. The process was just really slow. Each costumer took upwards of 20 minutes to service. The car looked like it had been hopped out of and they tossed me right into it, still dirty from the person before me. some sort of something spilled and splattered all over the back seats. cigarette buts and joint containers from dispensary amongst other things on the inside. The car itself on the outside was pretty banged up as well, Cpl of big dents on the back over the tire. All in all pretty sub par experience.Reviewed 3 Nov. 2019

AppallingCons:Arrived tired into SFO to be stung for excessive insurance extras on a prepaid inclusive hire as well as exorbitant daily eToll charge which is only way to use the golden gate bridge. Tried to bill me for a one way charge after I had dropped off the car where I picked it up and only withdrew it after I complained. Once they have your card details you just don't know what they will try next. Car indicated that it was long overdue a service but staff simply said that it was a fault with the car and there was no others for me to have. Never ever using Fox again.Reviewed 17 Nov. 2018

Cons:I asked your representative who did registration processes about the toll of Oakland Bay Bridge. She said that toll is 90 USD per pass and she encouraged me to pay 11 USD pre day for Fox company and then I can pass many times without stop on bridge and pay toll (cash). So, I paid 103 USD for 9 days for fox company. Unfortunately, your representative lied because I asked Oakland Bay Bridge administration and they said that toll is around 5 to 7 USD per pass not 90 USD as your representative said.Reviewed 2 Feb. 2018

NEVER WILL RENT FROM FOX OR KAYAKCons:I booked the car 2 months in advance and called to verify 3 days before. landed on Christmas night 8pm after 7 hour flight with 3 kids and luggage and got a toyota corolla. drove 45 minutes on the highway with the kids in the back and luggage on top of them. guy at the counter said the station manager knew I am coming and requesting an SUV AND that there is no car yet said he told him that I would get what he gives me AND WENT HOME. WAS PROMISSED A CAR THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND DID NOT GET ONE. I spent 2 hours on the phone on my vacation time and 3 hours to replace the car 2 days later ON MY VACATION.Reviewed 7 Jan. 2016

Very bad experiencePros:NothingCons:This was one of the most horrible experiences i have encountered. The guy said: “you booked online an SUV but we are very limited on cars so i am able to assign a minivan or camry. I had signed up for Ford Explorer. He said it multiple times that it is not my fault nor your fault. I was unhappy that he didnt take ownership over his company issue “assigning a car online that is not available”. After a long argument, i had to wait almost an hour extra to get the car i signed up for. It looked nice but after an hour or so driving it started smelling smoke aso they had sprayed it which is not good as i am allergic to smoke. I ended up bringing the car early. This will be my last time getting a car from Fox.Reviewed 3 Nov. 2017
