The pick up was absolutely terrible, they were understaffed and we had to wait over an hour and some people had been waiting 2 hours. In addition, they charged us extra to add my spouse which is usually free. Drop off went very smoothly.Reviewed 24 June 2025

I have reserved a standard SUV, Hertz did not have a standard SUV available and they provided a van. I specifically wanted a four wheel drive and the van is not a four wheel drive. The big problem is I have been mislead by the Herts agent who told me they will give me a discount but in the end I was charged more than I was supossed to be charged on the standard SUV.Reviewed 8 Jan 2025

Have only used Hertz one other time before this trip, probably because their rates are typically higher than the more budget minded rental car companies, but my two experiences now with Hertz have taught me that you get what you pay for. Hertz was a case in point.Reviewed 22 Sept 2024

They where able to change my reservation for a bigger vehicle without problems. The only issue we had is that they wouldn't accept my visa debit card. Luckily I had my back up credit card with me, even though it was an emergency and I was stuck at the airport. If my credit card wouldn't work I would have not been able to pay with any other form of legal tender, no matter how much deposit you could provide. Otherwise good serviceReviewed 10 Aug 2024

Extremely long wait time to get the car. After completing paperwork only I was informed the car is not ready, and it will take about 20 min. After waiting 40 min, I was offered a different car, but the payment was increasing, due to different insurance (LDW) rate. I did not accept the increase, so I was to wait some more. Finally, after 1 hour I received the car. I arrived at the rental location exactly when I booked the car, Hertz could have been ready at that time too. By the was, I was not the only one. Almost everyone had to wait for their cars.Reviewed 7 July 2024
