The price was reasonable and there was no line for the pickup.Cons:
The condition of the car was very poor and it appeared that every scratch was documented, forcing me to spend about 20 minutes surveying the car finding all the dents, scratches, stains. Unsatisfactory with over 34k kmsBudget

I tried to return the car to the underground parking garage at night and thought it was closed as there was closed metal door. I returned the next morning only to discover this is the regular door and it opens. If they had mentioned this i would have returned the car on scheduled day.10.0 Wonderful

The Allianz insurance i paid for via Kayak is not honored by Budget, so i had to spend another 60 euro for their coverage. After duly returning the car with 7/8 + tank full, i had to pay 20 euros to 'fill the tank'. The clerk said i could avoid that fee by taking the car out of the garage where i had to park it, level -6 at the porte Maillot garage, and find a gas station, a good 45 min round trip operation. So i will take my business elsewhere.10.0 Wonderful

Renter beware: there is no up-front warrning about the cost of insurance, and the agents give a high-pressure sales pitch at pick-up, attempting to pressure the customer into taking a package that doubles the cost of the rental. Otherwise, everything was fine!Hertz

Clean, new car and helpful staff in Paris. Very inexpensive.Cons:
I reserved a standard and was given a minivan, which is substantially harder to manage on tiny French alleys and streets. On returning the car the passcode for the garage did not work, there were no attendants at the lot, and the only remaining spaces were so small I needed to exit through the back.Dollar

Pick-up lengthy and slow service, had to sign up to avis preferred service as they advertised to skip the line, agent tried to hassle with me but showed her their ads to skip their long lengthy slow service line which is so annoying after a 16 hours flight10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
Great to be able to get vehicle right in downtown Paris and easy drive out of the city. The agent was fantastic although the fact that we are never quite sure what additional insurance we actually need was it's usual source of stress. We rented an economy car and ended up with a beautiful and surprisingly fuel efficient Mercedes AMG.Cons:
We just don't love the whole last minute insurance pressure. Would be better if we researched better in advance. I think that we actually have enough coverage between our credit card and insurance from home.4.4 Mediocre
