It was easy to pick up and return the car and it was clean and comfortable. I didn’t realize the Albuquerque location I selected wasn’t at the airport car rental hub. And I had to get an Uber to get there, a minor inconvenience.

Even though there is a Hertz agency at the Albequerque airport, your website offered me only a site several miles from the airport. I figured that there would be a shuttle. Instead, I had to pay for an Uber to get there. When I rented the car, they had only two vehicles available, a Prius and a pickup truck. I had reserved a small passenger car but would have been happy to take the Prius. However, the registration on the Prius was expiring at the end of the month. Even though I was returning the vehicle before the end of the month, Hertz's system would not approve rental of that vehicle, and I had to take the pickup. I spent about $100 extra on gas. I have a pickup but wouldn't use it for sightseeing. When I returned the pickup, the agency to which I was scheduled to return it was closed for the day. Why did the online booking system select an agency to which to return the vehicle that was closed that day? So, I had to park it in a parking lot on Saturday afternoon, and if anything happens to it by Monday morning, when they will inspect and intake the vehicle, I will be liable. I had to take an Uber back to the airport. The truck ran well but gulped gas, I paid extra to get to and from the rental agency, I had to drive a much more unweildy vehicle than I would have preferred, and I am still worried that someone will bump into that truck, and it will cost me more money. In the middle of last night, I got an email notice from my credit card company of a declined bogus credit card charge at Hertz and had to cancel my credit card. That is going to impact payment of the outstanding rental fee on that truck, and I am going to have to order a replacement card. This whole thing has been a huge mess. I'll certainly try not to use Hertz or Kyak again.

I received a call 1 hour before my flight that there was NOT a car available, this made for a very difficult trip , having to uber everywhere

Cons:

We reserved the car on one credit card and wanted to pay with another, a concept too difficult for the counter person to understand (on pickup). We got it resolved at drop off. LOVED the car (Ford Mustang convertible).

We thought we had booked a car from the airport car rental center, but when we got there they said we had to go to an Avis franchise in town. It was a &30 cab ride and a real hassle. But they did let us return the car at the airport.

Wonderful experience, girls were very helpful in Albuquerque. Mini van was clean and new. Check out at DFW airport was so very easy, and shuttles to terminal for flight were prompt. Definitely would do this again:)

Pros:

The fellow at pickup could not have been more friendly and helpful. I have no issue with him.

Cons:

1st. There was no mention during the online booking of the car that the rental location was not at the airport, despite my flight booking. I took the shuttle from the airport to the car rental center only to be told that my pickup location was a $30 cab ride away.1 1/2 hours would have been saved. 2nd.The car itself was miserable to drive. The alignment was so bad it wouldn't hold the road, it stunk of smoke, and there was an orange abandoned vehicle sticker on the drivers window obstructing view. For some reason I had trouble maintaining an even highway speed and the cruise didn't work. It made my 2 hour drive feel like 5. Driving this car was a white knuckle experience.

There was nothing I liked about this experience. Such a bad experience.

Cons:

They made a reservation for 12pm for a location that closed... at 12pm. The guy was still there and informed me that they “have been trying to get this changed for sometime” and did nothing to help us. We had to get a ride to another location and they tried to charge us more than double the reservation price. When I asked to speak to the manger on site, I was told that it would be 3-4hrs before she could speak with us. I spent literally hours on the phone with National. When we finally did get the car, they gave us the wrong car and didn’t tell us. When I called to tell them they gave us the wrong car, they directed me to a new location to pick up the right car. Upon arriving at the new location the person on site told me that he “didn’t know why they told us that, I don’t have any cars to give you”. No one at any of these locations were apologetic or tried to help us figure anything out. National ended up giving us a $100 credit which isn’t really that much (IMO) for how much time I spent dealing with this nightmare.

I arrived on Sunday and the company was closed!! This resulted in having to rent at the airport as a walkup that increased the rental cost from $370 to $500. If they were going to be closed on Sunday I should have been notified.
