We waited for a half hour to go from the main rental facility to get a ride across the street to advantages, they didn’t pull up in the right spot and we were lucky we found them. We had no idea it was literally just across the street. When we got there they didn’t have any of the vehicles That we had chosen, there was one person working in a long line. We didn’t have hours to wait to get a rental car so we ended up just having to leave. Lots of upset people in that line!Reviewed 24 Sept 2024

Las Vegas Advantage agent cheated me with prepaid fuel even though I didn’t opt for it. She rushed me through signing for it even though she told me the final price without the fuel option & after I left, she sends an email rental agreement copy with that charged. Later when I talked to the agent, they said, they can’t help! Never thought company like Kayak would recommend these kinds of companies but learned the lesson hard way :-(Reviewed 20 Sept 2024

The fees were NOT transparent at all. After waiting in line for well over thirty minutes, the total cost of the rental was DOUBLE what we had booked through Kayak. The agent was nice enough and answered questions but did not tell us the total. She said there were additional fees but didn’t say what they were. She asked for my credit card and I did not realize she was charging for the rental amount until she asked for my pin. The total did not appear on the credit card machine or anywhere else. Only then, did I stop her and ask for the total which is the point when I found out the total was double. I asked her to explain exactly what the fees were again - she offered for me to come around the counter to look at the invoice but would not explain directly. Her only real explanation was that “this is why you don’t book through Kayak.” Despite having insurance from an outside company and AAA we were told we could not waive the insurance fee nor the roadside assistance fee. Additionally, we were given a sedan, not the SUV we had booked. Which gave us serious issues at our final destination which was in the back country of Utah. We were not told what kind of vehicle we were getting - just handed keys and told to click it in the parking lot. At this point we were so frustrated, we just left. Be prepared for outlandish fees by the time you actually go there. Ours was double the cost for a one week rental. It may be the same cost as other rental companies at that point but I really did not appreciate what felt like repeated attempts to hide the cost from me.
