Terrible terrible experience - do not book with thPros:I'm a 25 year old girl who arrived at my destination at 11:48 PM. I waited at the Payless shuttle stop ALONE in the middle of the night for them to never show up (while all of the other companies were still running). I called the company and was unable to reach anyone until the following morning when I was told that their shuttles stop running at midnight. NOWHERE did this information show on my itenarary or email confirmation. By the time I figured things out it was 2:30AM and I decided to take a cab which I paid close to $100 for. Terrible Customer ServicePros:The car was fine.Cons:When we arrived, there were a few people ahead of me and two people working at the counter. They were very slow and made no effort to speed up the process or call more workers to the front. We had to wait over a half an hour before being checked in. Once the check in began, they tried to charge me a $100 over my reservation price. They also have a weird gasoline policy where you have to fill it up at a certain station and bring back the receipt or they charge you a flat fee. The shuttle to and from the airport is small and does not run very often.Reviewed 27 Jul. 2017

Cons:We waited at the airport curb for 20 minutes for the van to take us to the check-in office and pick-up office. We watched the other rental company vans come and go several times over before the Payless shuttle arrived. We became so frustrated that we went over to the driver of another company's shuttle to ask him if this was typical. He said that, while the other companies have 10-15 shuttles for picking up customers, Payless has 2 or 3. Then, upon arriving at the check-in office, there were 2 representatives behind the desk for checking people in, and the line had about 20 customers ahead of us. Thus, from the time we arrived curbside to get the shuttle to the time we were in our rental car, was about an hour.Reviewed 12 Oct. 2015

Pros:So the Payless office was closed and there wasn't anything telling me to go to the Avis location. When I called Payless customer service, I was sent on an endless loop of transfers and of course nobody could just tell me where to go. The Avis staff, however, was amazing and they took great care of me. Easy pick up and drop off with them and the rest of the Avis team.Cons:Perhaps Payless customer service should mention that if the rental building is closed to proceed to the Avis location. When you call customer service, maybe they should be a customer service line and assist the customer instead of transferring me 3 times before getting hung up on. I also was asking multiple times on where to go and all that people kept doing was giving me the address. I WAS at the address but I actually needed to go to Avis as Payless is closed.Reviewed 19 Jun. 2020

Pros:easy to check in and drop offCons:Could have done without all the upselling! From the trying to get me to rent a more "powerful" car for all the supposed mountain driving I was going to be doing to pre-purchasing a full tank of gas. I don't think I would use Payless again because of it. Also I am super annoyed that I accidentally took a toll road and found there is NO way to pay the toll. So I got charged a total of $25 for using a toll road ONCE. Definitely will not be using this company again.
