The staff in west palm beach were exceptional. The staff in Roanoke, I felt as if I was talking to a robot. She apparently read from a script with no exception for human emotions or even questions. I was not told of the additional fees charged; ie retrieval fee of 50$. I was unaware there would be an entire days fee for being 7 hours late and feel that should have been prorated . The vehicle was passable even with the broken sensors ; no cruise controls, no being alerted to a vehicle in the blind spot, as well as others. Due to the emotionless “customer service “ in the drop off facility, we will steer clear of Avis in the future

Agent seemed unhappy that we had not reserved directly. Kept pushing other ad ons. Not very personable. The vehicle was teriffic. However, the cost was excessive.
I usually rented a car at a rental agency at the airport Pam Beach International. This time, I decided to rent from an Enterprise agency located 2 miles from the airport given that it offered a price lower than the one at the airport. I was happy with the two staff at checkout (I would have given a poor rating if it were not for these 2 staff). I drove the car home 10 miles away at 12:30 p,m. and drove back to the airport at 5 p.m. to pick up my family. As soon as I got off the highway I-95 to get to the airport, I heard the thumping of a flat tire . Fortunately, I was next to a gas station and was able to park at the station. I then found out that the tire just split and found myself all shook up and distressed. A limousine driver who parked his car near by came over and mentioned that he had never seen such a case of a split tire and told me that it would have killed me if it happened while I was driving at 55 mph on I-95. I took pictures of the tire and called Enterprise Road Assistance who gave me instructions to lock the car and keep the key since I was not able to wait for the tow truck in the mental condition I was in. Next day, I called the Enterprise agency where I rented the car from. One of the managers I talked to did not seem to comprehend the seriousness of the situation where I could have been injured or worse. He told me that he would cancel my contract and gave me one day credit for future rental. One week later, I returned the key to the same manager who told me that I should have left the key in the car even though Enterprise Road Assistance told me to keep the key. The instructions are contradictory. I also found out that my contract was not yet canceled until one week later when I returned the key. The attitude of the manager is un-friendly and not welcoming. I would not go back to this Enterprise location.
I strongly suggest you rent at a more reputable company. If you do rent here, which is understandable because they are so cheap, please be very careful. Make sure you have the time to get to their far off airport location, to deal with their lack of staff or service. Make sure you are ok renting a beat up car that is likely 10 years old. And finally make sure you cover yourself with copious notes and photos because their business model seems to be to get damaged cars and then blame people for damage that was clearly already there. I guess that's how they make their extra money?

The car was lovely but that staff at Sixt was rude on both pick up and drop off. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by renting me a car. And, adding insult to injury, they over charged wildly ($600) for a tiny scrape on the HUBCAP (where it touched a curb during parallel parking)!!! I’ll never use this company again.
