Not sure I got the best deal. I rented through Kayak and was quoted a price. My CC got compromised shortly after ordering my car through Kayak. When I went to pickup my car at Sixt the agent wanted my CC used to rent the car. I asked why it was already paid. I told him what happened the the CC. He said he would have to cancel the prior reservation, and start over. When all said and done I feel the car cost was more than the orignal reservation. Did not want to hassle with it as long as I got refunded my orignal purchase. Six days later the refund posted. The guy at the counter was nice but the whole process did not make since given the car had already been paid and appoved. Any additional expenses should have been applied to the new CC. When checking out the rental no one walked through the car inspection. No way to document any damage observed prior to driving off. Also no option to pay for fuel in advance or at least it was never explained. Most agencies tell you the cost of fuel at the rental car and give you the option to pay in advance. Checking the car in the lady was friendly and inspected the car thoroughly same thing should be done initialy ensuring the leasee understands the features of the car. I had one experience where I failed to shut the drivers door completely and when I tried to to put the car in reverse it locked up and would go saying parking assist engaged. Spent 20 minutes playing with the car until i realized that the car would not engage because the door had not completely closed. I would rent from them again.Reviewed 21 Nov 2022

Being required to buy extra insurance at the airport check-in kiosk before I could pick up the car was a real downer, and a bad way to start a vacation. Technically not "required", but being told that without it they would take the car out of service and charge me an unspecified daily "loss of use" fee while they corrected anything they determined was a defect (such as a car park door ding or a windshield chip) comes to the same thing.Reviewed 16 Nov 2022

I received an email from Sixt when I landed stating I could get a free upgrade to an SUV. At the registration desk, they upgraded me. Then they surprised me with $109 in additional charges to my invoice. Plus, the vehicle had a lot of damage on it.Reviewed 14 Nov 2022
