Pros:The line was short.Cons:Everything. My wife and I had a rough travel. Had a booking, I dropped my license at the airport gate, the staff would not accept a scan of my license (front and back), or my passport as proper ID. So we had to use my wife's ID and card instead. No big deal, right? WRONG. They canceled our reservation for a luxury vehicle, which we'd reserved for my birthday as a special treat. This was because "we need a credit card for this because we take out a large security deposit", despite my using a debit card to reserve the luxury vehicle for the initial booking. They eventually made us take a standard SUV (not even a sedan, apparently they "didn't have any"). Our new reservation, the standard SUV, was SOMEHOW $250 more expensive than the luxury vehicle rental was booked for. We were presented with two options for the SUV rental, a highlander and a durango. We asked for the highlander, but they PUSHED their new Durangos on us, not taking "no" for an answer. The Durango was awful. The seats were like rock, the A pillars are terrible for visibility, the rear-view mirror literally takes up the entire center of the windshield. The car was enormous and difficult to keep in lane, not to mention parking it. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, would NOT recommend. Just go to Enterprise, Budget, or Alamo. Don't waste your time on Sixt; it should be your 'sixth' choice.Reviewed 9 Feb. 2021

Drop off DISAPPOINMENTPros:I did not visit Miami office so I have no idea for overall, comfort and cleanliness.Cons:When I was dropping of the car, a responsible lady from sixt came by the car and made a very detailed check. And she circled a damage that I could not see while I was picking up the car. I told her that nobody from Orlando sixt office informed me about this damage. She explained me that she had to do her job and she can do nothing for not informing me of Orlando sixt guys about this damage. Later on, I spoke with mr.Ralph by the car and told him what I am faced with. He explained me that it is a general control what she did.He added generally these kinds of damages are not charged to customers. Truthly, I made no damage to the car and if any damage will be charged to me then I will object officially. It was a very bad 10 minutes that I lived. It was a very bad experience of me with a worldwide serious company that is called SIXT. I am really disappointed...!Reviewed 25 Oct. 2015

Pros:Pushed the insurance and tried to trick into insurance option. Not friendly. Also, asked if I needed tolls several times after saying No. Reserved full sized vehicle, told they were all out and gave “upgrade” to SUV. The vehicle was slightly bigger to a Mini Coup.Reviewed 3 Jan. 2021

Pros:They were nice, the van was cleanCons:I had a TERRIBLE experience with the sunpass thing - they told me to get a sunpass, I did, then when I returned the car they said I didn't have to take it out of the car, it was okay if I left it in there. then I paid the tolls for their next renter for the next week, when I saw the error i canceled it, but when I asked for a refund they said their policy states that it's my fault if I don't remove the transponder. I'm disputing it with Sixt, but if not resolved, I will never use their services again.Reviewed 31 Dec. 2019

Cons:It would have been good if they were open . When I made the reservation it said nothing about store hours . I arrived at 6 am ,and the sign in front said open at 6 . Nobody was there . Pros:the registration process was modern and the counter person was pleasant & knowledgeable.Cons:I would like a deeper, easier locate understanding about upgrading. I was offered ( it was strongly suggested ) that I upgrade my vehicle at a modest increase which i agreed to... however the modest increase had a $31 a day cost... more than I expected but we were to far into the process to pull back. Cleanliness of the vehicle - It had a VERY Pronounced Odor! we raised the issue at check out with out much reaction. I hoped the odor would recede over time and we wanted to to get on the road so we accepted the car. Not a good decision on our part. That said when we returned the vehicle the attendant & supervisor were helpful & understanding and did credit our invoicedReviewed 2 Jan. 2018

Cons:I had to cancel my reservation and the process is very difficult. I finally was able to talked to customer service to obtain a security code that I needed it to cancel online. I never got the code my email as the person said , I had to call again to get the code. I started the online cancelation entered the code and got a message that I had to cancel my email. I sent the email and they reply saying that if I cancelled late they will charge me anyways. Of course they made me cancel late with all this long and difficult process. Drop off location needs updatingPros:Pick up in Miami airport rental centre was fine. The car was as advertised and we weren't 'encouraged' to buy additional insurance etc.Cons:Drop off location in Miami was advertised as 3925 Collins - inside the Marriott hotel. Great as that was opposite our hotel. However, the office in the Marriott was unattended and the actual drop off garage was a few blocks up the road. It would have been a bit less of a hassle to have known this ahead of time and perhaps Sixt could highlight this in their website.Reviewed 22 Nov. 2016

Premium Car rented with tires that had zero treadPros:The car would have been reasonably priced if it was rented in decent road-worthy condition.Cons:Premium Car was rented for a 5 hour drive with a front wheel that was apparently in an accident and had a visible chunk of rubber missing from the observable portion of the wheel. The wheel wobbled due to improper alignment or suspension failure. I was stopped by a good-samaritan motorist on the freeway about an hour into my trip to tell me about the visible issue with the wheel. Upon inspection, the tread on interior of tire was entirely non-existent and metal cords were showing on 40% of the inside of the wheel. Full refund was eventually provided, but due to the delay in my drive because I had to drive slowly due to the condition of the wheel, I was very late to my destination and was unable to see my grandmother and she died during my extended commute.Reviewed 30 Sep. 2016
