Staffs were nice and friendly.

Cons:

I guess they forgot to vacuum the car. It would have been better if the car was clean. There were dog furs all over the back seats.

They called an hour and a half before pick up and canceled the reservation. This is simply unacceptable. No one should ever book anything through KAYAK or Budget.

The customer service in Charlotte was terrible. The woman was rude and charged me more because they did not have the car I reserved. Drop off was much better.

We got to our pick up location and they did not have any cars available as well as no timeline of when they would get cars. They were less than helpful and lead us to an 800 number that basically told us there was nothing he could do to help. After 2.5 hours of being passed around on the phone We ended up canceling completely and going through someone else. I will never do this again. Horrible experience

Title: Disappointing Experience at Ace Wilkinson Blvd If you’re considering renting from here, be aware of the following issues: Limited Mileage: When booking online with the unlimited mileage option, there are restrictions on which states you can drive to. At this location, unlimited miles are limited to only the Carolinas and Virginia. If you plan to travel to Georgia or other states, additional fees apply. I’m aware that other rental agencies (not all) also do this but still… don’t call it unlimited if it’s not unlimited. Hidden Fees: Upon pickup, I also encountered several unexpected charges. For example, despite not using airport services, an airport concierge fee was added to the charges. When questioned, the local office couldn’t provide a satisfactory explanation for this particular fee, so I did not bother to follow-up with questions for several of the other fees that also seemed like padding, these fees increased my total bill to more than 1/3 of the original booking price. Defective Vehicle: This was the most concerning issue. What happened? I booked a full-size sedan, while doing the walk around inspection, I noticed that one of the front bumper clips was missing, causing the end section of the bumper to hang loose enough that the wind could cause further damage while driving. When I brought this to the rep's attention, he acted like this was not a cause for concern. I had to insist that this was unacceptable and that I could not take responsibility for a defective vehicle. He then tried to replace the vehicle with a smaller vehicle type. The issue here is that he wanted to charge me the same rate for a smaller car and insisted that this was the only vehicle he had available. I felt that it was unfair to charge at the same rate, so I ended up cancelling and had to make other plans. So no, I would not recommend.

Cons:

They ran out of cars and closed the office. We showed up in an Uber and were left outside since the office was closed, at 2:30 in the afternoon. We had a reservation. They did not call us. We had to take another Uber to another location. Completely unacceptable and will never book with them again.

They should have mentioned that there were no cars available before I drove all the way over to the place to pick my rental car up. Instead, they mention it after I got my confirmation code and after I drove all the way up to the store. Smh

They said they called me the morning of to tell me that there were no cars available, however, I never received that call. I showed up to the rental office and no one was working. I had to call a number to find out what was going on and I was told there was nothing they could do.
