There was no gas in the car. So i had to wait for the staff to take the car to the gas station. Also they were trying to charge by the hour instead of by the day. So they were trying to charge me more than what was promised when i booked online. And even though i dropped the car off at night the clock is still ticking until noon today. We prepaid for a van, to be picked by up at 10 am. We were delayed & got there at 11am no van or any vechicle was available...we sat until 1:30 pm until a minivan became available. The minivan was very satisfactory, all was excellent from then on.6.0 Okay

This was a miserable experience. Customer service is a joke, I will never rent from hertz again ever!!!!!Cons:
Everything was a distaster. No cars at the rental center, hidden fees, bad customer service, dirty car when picked up. I will never use hertz again. I rent cars about once a month for business trips. This is my 2nd bad experience with them. Last time I refused to use them for 5 years. Gave them another chance and got burned. Never again with hertzAvis

The Avis location where I was supposed to pick up my car claimed to have tried to call me to say no car was available but there was no record on my phone to back it up. I had to go to another location to get a car and the original price was no longer valid. I paid 33% more than expected.6.0 Okay

Finally a guaranteed reservation! Either I've had a string of bad luck but whenever I rent a minivan I never get what I ask for even when I make a reservation in a month's advance. This time I received my choice and with no delays. Check in and out service was painless and professional.Cons:
Too good to be true when I received the bill. I was quoted and guaranteed a rate of $75 but when I returned the vehicle I noticed I was charged $91. Some bogus maintenance fee I was hit with which I eventually got reimbursed on but my experience would've been exceptional until I received the bill. Overall I was still satisfied.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
I Needed a van to seat 12, it’s not what I received. I brought my church youth to Houston for a convention. I was the only driver. There were no vans. They attempted to accommodate by offering two vehicles. In the end I drove a full size Expedition that seated 8. Two of my group needed to Uber. Renter beware: the only promise your reservation gives you is the price. 30,000 people came to Houston, many by plane, is it not possible to move the fleet? On the positive side, the two gals who worked me did give me a price break on the rental I did receive.Cons:

Wasn't able to pick up my car the day I had signed up for it. Price ended up increasing dramatically. Also, signed up for insurance level that I needed, when wife picked up car pushed insurance package on her that ended up doubling the price of the rental.10.0 Wonderful
