I got an email confirmation of my rental, and drove one hour away to pick up the vehicle. When I got to the location they told me that they had been sold out for 2 days. Terrible service.Cons:
I was not only not provided the vehicle I had a confirmation, but I was given a lousy explanation as for what nobody called to advise of the oversale.Budget

Show up to pick up my rental and was told computer was down and couldn't get a rental. Had to locate and find transportation to a nearby rental to get a vehicle at last minute on a Sunday when most of locations close at 1.Cons:
If the system was down they could of gave a courtesy call.Hertz

I do not like the fact that even though we had already prepaid they temporarily withdrew over $300 out of my account to rent a car for one day. To top it off it could take up to 5 business days to put the money back in my account.2.0 Poor

Search results offered a car 15 mi from the airport. Unfortunately we were not warned before arriving so we were told by Hertz that our only option was to take a cab to the rental location - the cost of which nearly exceeded the cost of the rental. We booked with Thrifty - great experience. And we're still arguing with hertz about getting a refund. I hope their customer service will be willing to help us as we've rented with hertz many times before6.0 Okay

Cons:
Pushy staff at the desk persuaded me to take additional insurance of $131 despite having already paid for extra when I booked the car. Explanations on the difference of cover were vague and it seemed just that they wanted to sell me more insurance to make more profit for them. I feel annoyed at myself for having fallen for this. In the event of a claim which insurance company would I approach?? The whole extra insurance thing is surely a scam and it should be closed down worldwide. All in all I feel conned.8.0 Very Good

Cons:
There was a speed limitation which was exactly matching the highway speed limit. The problem is that sometimes, when you need to overtake a car in highway, you are forced to go with higher speeds to do it in a short time-frame and to free the lane. That limitation was crating problems to handle situations like that and even creates crash situations. The limit may still be there but it should be much higher than the maximum speed (which is regularly matching the actual speed in highways).FlexWays
