Pros:The car was ready and clean and what we asked for.Cons:The drop off was closed and we had to take it to the airport and then spend $15 on an Uber. When I called the number for Enterprise they told me someone would drive me back to my destination but that did not happen. How can Enterprise overbook!Pros:In the end they did call the next day and tell us they had a car for us - and took off a percentage for our trouble. At first we were told they would have a car for us four days later.Cons:Our flight was two hours delayed. When we arrived at the Enterprise counter, there was ONE person working and no fewer than 40 people in line. We were behind the couple to approach next when it was announced they had no more cars. They had given our car away to someone else claiming we didn't show up in a timely matter (difficult to do when sitting on an airplane two hours late). When I asked how they could give away a car for which we had a confirmation, the woman said, "We overbooked". How can you overbook! At the very least have a time that you must cancel by or get charged, if they are afraid of not renting all cars. There were 30 people behind us when they ran out, some of whom had to be in either Maine or Canada the next day or that night! When I asked how they could run out, the woman said, "It happens". I said I didn't ask if it happens, I asked how it happens. She was very unsympathetic. She was also the manager, according to her own admission.Reviewed 13 Aug. 2017

Inaccurate contract / mileage informationPros:Although the car had already been driven 35k miles, it was clean, comfortable, and reliable. I had no problems with the performance of the car during my 4-day rental period.Cons:The starting mileage on the contract and final bill was incorrect. I informed two people (at the Boston Logan airport pick up location) who promised to correct the issue, but did not. They simply ignored me. I left the lot with 35,291 on the odometer, but the final bill had an incorrect starting mileage figure of 33,021. They claimed that I drove 2,425 miles during my 4 day rental period, when in fact I only drove 155 miles. Fortunately, they did not try to charge me for these miles (which I did not drive). The final charge was consistent with the original estimate given when I made the reservation.Reviewed 2 Nov. 2016

Never return when the office is closedPros:Car worked.Cons:We dropped off on a Saturday afternoon when the local office was closed, BEFORE the time we promised to. Without telling us, they charged us from that time through Monday morning, two extra days even though their system had confirmed our reservation for one day charged. I phoned and talked to two reps, both of whom insisted it’s “in the contract” that you have to pay. The second rep agreed to refer it to the branch manager, saying they would review the security video to see if we really dropped it off. We later got a phone message apologizing for the “mistake” and saying we’d get the extra money back (and we did get it back). But the first two reps sure didn’t think it was a mistake. I don’t know whether Enterprise has a slimy policy of overcharging and backpedals when you push and push, or whether they screwed up and didn’t want to admit it. All I know is that I hope to find the time to contact the Mass. Department of Consumer Protection, Consumer Reports, Better Business Bureau. What a lousy experience.!Reviewed 16 Jan. 2016

Pros:The staff was extremely friendly. They asked if I needed any help with directions and were supportive.Cons:The Enterprise front desk personnel answered my yes or no payment question very round about and I had to ask several times to get a straight answer. Cons:I had no issue with a enterprise but kayak was a big disappointment - they offered insurance which I assumed was through enterprise but turned out to be a third party company that didn’t actually give me the insurance so I was uninsured and when I had a tire blowout i was on the hook to pay for the new tire myself. The information about the insurance was not clear and the notification that it didn’t go through wasn’t clear either. then it’s very difficult to find the records of the transaction on kayak. Pros:Car was great.Cons:I was charged an underage fee which was supposed to be waived given the ongoing pandemic. The only reason I choose Enterprise was because their website explicitly stated that the underage fee was being waived until May. When I told them they had overcharged me they had no idea about this fee, they were stunned to see it all over their website. They sent me a corrected receipt. However, when the charge came out of my bank account, it was the original fee, not the correct fee taken. 70$ extra taken from the account. Insurance trickeryPros:I loved how friendly the staff were, and at the counter, there was no pressure to buy any extra insurance when I said it was covered by my AAA Visa card. Pick up and drop off was easy and efficient.Cons:I did not like the fact that the employee who gave me the car tried to trick me into buying 'Loss of use' insurance - saying that she had never heard of a credit card company covering this (not true). Loss of use is when the car company loses income due to the car being in the repair shop. For this to be true - the car company needs to prove the ENTIRE fleet is utilized (almost impossible).
