Lost & Cancelled ReservationPros:I liked the initial feeling that this was going to go well based on the efficient booking process on Kayak. This was very short lived.Cons:My reservation was lost, and then when my partner attempted to get any information using all of the reservation info that I passed along to him (and offering to have them call me directly, or me call them), he was told that there was nothing that he could do. Then, they "found" the reservation by looking under a code for another airport and alerted him that they had no cars left even though we attempted to notify them and modify the reservation/late pickup. Once told they had absolutely no cars, we both again looked online and immediately found that we were able to reserve the same car at the same price. When we showed that to the counter help, they sighed and said that yes they did have cars, but it would be "like, 45 minutes" until they were ready at the earliest. None of this really made sense, but I wasn't exactly approaching this budget car rental situation with that expectation. Luckily, my partner was able to make a separate reservation, and then "spend time at Dunkin Donuts" until the car was "ready" as directed. I did end up paying for a car rental insurance agreement for both times I attempted to book, and not for the actual rental that took place. Silver lining though - we didn't get any additional damage charges while risking the lack of round 3 insurance!Reviewed 18 Jul. 2016

EhPros:I asked for a car with a Bluetooth and after being told i probably couldn't i did get a Nissan Juge, which was pretty cute. Other than that i was charged twice as much than my estimated rate because of fees and insurance. I really felt like i was gotten over on. Drop off was rough their check in machines were broke which delayed the return time and they ended up charging me for another day! No worries after some time at the check out counter they were able to adjust the price back down. I dropped the car off yesterday so hopefully they're no other hidden charges in my credit card statement that I'll have to dispute later. Chances are next time I'll just go back to enterprise-a company I'm more familiar with.Reviewed 23 Jan. 2017

Pros:I did not like anything. Bad service.Cons:They lost the keys and the car then the wait to be seen meanwhile they are all here the attitude it’s just not a good experience at all. The person that lets you out is never there and you have to wait on them or go looking for someone it is ridiculous .Reviewed 8 Jul. 2020

Challenging rental experiencePros:I liked the initial prices offer although I ended up being charged 20% more than estimated cost. Overall it would have been cheaper to go with another rental companyCons:Serious lack of phone customer service for car issues. The paneling of the car popped out as we arrived to our destination and the washer fluid alert came on. We added more fluid, then the tire pressure light came on every few days and more air was added. As we attempted to resolved issues customer service was challenging. In addition, Car rental was prepared by another rental that explained charges incorrectly. In the end the charges were 20% more than what was estimated during my booking process. I would have been better off going with another company. I do not recommend this company in the future as it has been and continues to be a frustrating experience.Reviewed 2 Jan. 2019

Cost doubledPros:Clean car with no issues.Cons:Was upsold insurance saying I needed it. Turns out I didn't. Was never told I needed to slide the easy pass open to use it. Was also never told they charged $4 a day for it. Went for the prepay fuel option. Told if returned full I would get a refund. They said they refunded it but couldn't show me where on the receipt and the price was the same as prior. Original quote was $100 end bill before the fines I'm going going to be getting from the easy pass was $193. Almost double. Overall a very negative experience.Reviewed 19 Aug. 2017

I'd much rather pay a little more at Hertz or somePros:less expensive than other optionsCons:Outrageously poor service and an infuriating experience Who are the clowns operating this half-baked rental car business out of Newark Airport? I'm guessing they're evil, whoever they are. When I arrived to claim my reserved car they lied about what my original reservation details were so that they could try to up-sell me into a more expensive contract. Try to get your head around that? The attendant was so rude, she wouldn't make eye contact, and she lectured me with her idiotic company-fed lines until finally accepting that the scam wasn't going to work on me. Pros:Car was affordable, comfortable, reliable and clean on the inside only.Cons:This company's main issue is customer service. Aside from the car being comfortable and reliable on the road it was a tedious process to obtain and return. The guy was nice but very slow with the whole process and was taking his sweet time to get us the car. he could of a lot more efficient bit he wasn't. the company should hire someone else to aide him in getting customers and the line moving. when we were returning the car the guy was very rude and obnoxious. Pros:My rental agent was wonderful.Cons:I’m hoping I didn’t screw up with that easy pass. I’m not sure it was open for a bridge crossing and I’m not very familiar with the whole toll and easy pass since the cashless toll system has been implemented. Cons:Had family tragedy at home had to turn in my rental car two weeks early. I paid for full month up front as priceless expressed that was better rate. I expressed my emergency and ask for refund of remaining two weeks due to emergency. After 4 weeks calling and being put on hold with different person. Each person with different story I still have not received refund. Last person stated we could not help me as others said we should be able too Getting serious run around. Worst rental car company everPros:Didn't like anythingCons:The manager was rude and when I tried to pick up a confirmed rental, I was told there were no cars. I had a confirmation number, but she said that couldn't help me. This was the Payless rental at Newark airport. Went to the next counter and rented through budget. Leave extra time at pick up and drop offCons:It took more than a hour to get just from the doors outside baggage claim to the rental office desk. The Car agencies must to more to correct this at lga. At Newark we pulled into the Budget Payless lot and it took forever for someone to try to check us in. Then he said it was not showing up in the system so we had to go inside to the desk. The Payless desk was closed and the budget line was long with new renters. When we finally got someone’s attention she said “you’re good” and dropped our agreement in the garbage.
