The Budget online system directed us to a location that had zero cars. We had to go with all of our luggage to second location. Our order confirmed by credit card was for a convertible Mustang or similar. The second location doesn't have any convertible cars at all. Because of Budget we wasted 3 hours. They offered us only one uncomfortable car, which was not even washed. I expect a refund. I paid for something completely different, plus Budget caused a long delay in my journey, which impacted the day.

Houston staff was helpful and understanding.

Cons:

Pickup in New Orleans could have been better: the representative did not give us a chance to inspect the car nor did he notate the amount of gas in the tank. Luckily we took a photo showing the tank was not full when we received the car, because in Houston at drop off they were expecting the car to be full until we explained and had the picture as proof. We also discovered while driving that one of the headlights was out, which the New Orleans representative did not inform us/note down, but the Houston representative noticed immediately before we even told him.

Horrible experience

Cons:

We booked a car 1 week prior to travel. Arrived at the airport of our destination and called the rental car company in which they told us they were closed and had no more cars. Our pickup time was for 4 pm and apparently they close at 4 pm. Why would they allow us to book this? And Why weren’t we notified in advance there were no cars?

I reserved a 13 passenger van a December 7, 3034to be picked Jan 7, 2024. Only to receive a text message Jan 7, 2024, at 7:44 am that the system was overbooked and couldn't accommodate my reservation. I called Avis customer service number was told they had the vehicle at the airport location. I got to the airport only to be told they didn't have a 13 passenger van. Why have a system that you can't keep track of amount of reservation vehicles and locations.

I had problem with my card as it was an international credit card there where problem with the charge. The customer service agent at pickup was not very Professional. When i deliverd the car the agent helping me told me that they had a new card terminal and that she was awere of the problem with international cards. the agent giving me service whaen pickup was not professional.

Billed more than said. Vehicle possible problems. No tow although told many times coming. No vehicle to exchange for although told so. Then we were held up for hours due to the rental not going to let my son drive it out again cuz no other vehicle. This whole process cost us more money and hours of our vacation time. Terrible experience.
