Good value at DFW but not top-tier servicePros:We liked the car (a 2018 Hyundai Elantra) for comfort, cargo capacity and gas mileage. Sixt's price was both the lowest and the best value at DFW, where ALL rental cars are ridiculously expensive due to high taxes and fees. I would use Sixt again if they had the lowest price.Cons:They didn't have enough staff at the check-in counter at DFW, so wait time in line was too long. Once we got to the front, however, the check-in process itself was efficient and the agent was friendly and helpful. Car interior could have been cleaner, especially inside windows and on the rear view mirror, which was so streaky I had to clean it to drive. At the return area, the one guy working was occupied on a personal call on his cell phone, so he was moving slowly and never actually talked to us, which was odd. Terrible customer service!!!Pros:nothing, never using Sixt again...Cons:How can your system create a 1AM reservation when you close at 1??? Then you opened at 4:15 instead of 4 and gave terrible attitude from service agent. Husband accidentally used his name instead of wife, service agent said "Technically I don't even have to give you a car..." Terrible customer service. Horrid. Pros:Nothing at all.Cons:Nutshell Version: Rented a car for a road trip to a Northern State. Nothing in any documentation that I reviewed stated there was a problem with this. I even called to upgrade and paid extra for a class upgrade. Two months later, when I got to the counter I was told that I couldn't drive the vehicle outside of their "regional zone" without extremely expensive penalty fees. Obviously, this meant I couldn't use the vehicle and instead of granting me the full refund right there, I was told that they would open a complaint ticket and it was only "likely" I would receive a refund. Several days later I get a refund that is nowhere near the 650.00 that I paid for the rental nor the extra 140.00 for the upgrade. They are thieves and scammers. DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT.Reviewed 6 Jan. 2021
