Book Thrifty hire cars in Las Vegas

• Does Thrifty guarantee specific car brands and models for rentals in Las Vegas?

The exact vehicle model is not guaranteed through regular bookings. Availability depends on the location and rental day. Finding a popular intermediate sedan for rent is easier than getting a large SUV, convertible, or coupe/roadster. If you’re looking to reserve a less-common model, call the office earlier in the day to see if it’s available. If you’re lucky to get your dream ride, do not make the color an issue. The most important factors are the car’s functions and ability to make an impression in certain situations.

• Do Thrifty car rentals in Las Vegas come with hand controls and spinner knobs?

Thrifty offers hand controls on a limited number of car models. Adaptive driving devices are unavailable on most vehicles, so you must confirm your booking before the travel date. The company also provides steering wheel spinner knobs to assist drivers using only one hand. You must request these devices when booking and reconfirm at least 24 hours before picking up your rental car at a major Thrifty location.

• Is there accessible parking at the Thrifty car rental return area in Las Vegas?

You’ll find designated accessible car return areas in all Thrifty locations in Las Vegas. If you have special needs, let a representative from the company know so they can guide you to the accessible parking space. If you’re physically or visually challenged, we recommend you inform Thrifty when booking a car. The terms and conditions of Thrifty’s rental agreement consider you an authorized operator as long as you hold a valid driving license.

I got the vechile with low fuel, I was expected to fuel the tank to drive it, then bring it back with a full tank. Gotta love it l, paying for someone else's gas. Be prepared at this location for that to happen.Reviewed 28 Jan 2026

Car was dirty and had a tire leak. They swapped it out with no issue. They lack flexibility for adjusting dates.Reviewed 2 Nov 2025

I made the reservation then called to confirm the vehicle and particulars. Two days before travel I called the Las Vegas thrifty to confirm again. Imagine the surprise when I arrived to find that I was assigned a minivan instead of the Ford transit I had booked and was told I could not rent it there and return it in Salt Lake City without paying an additional $800. The nice lady showed me the booking and it was the code for a minivan. A minivan is not equivalent to the Transit. I had seven adults and luggage which I why I rented such an expensive vehicle through this site. Contact me.Reviewed 19 June 2025

The customer service counter is terrible. 30 people in line & only 2 representatives. During my 1hr wait in line 3 representatives came out & only helped 1 customer & left. I witnessed one representative work with one customer for over 30min!!! RidiculousReviewed 28 May 2025

Booked on line received an email in bold print “your car rental is secured “ ,travelled to opposite end of Vegas strip to be told there were no cars available The desk agent told us when they get busy he could have 15-20 more customers who booked on line and where confirmed show up and find no car available . This wasted at least 3 hours of our time and cab fare there and back Totally on unacceptableReviewed 7 Mar 2025

The pickup was horrendous! After reserving a vehicle and paying for it ahead of time, then checking in online to “skip the line”, we arrived and were told along with at least 30-40 other people that there were NO cars of any kind available and wouldn’t be for at least 2-3 hours.Reviewed 22 Feb 2025

Everything was fine except for the long wait time to get the car. In this day and age why isn’t everything done through an app? What make people wait in line for 45 minutes?Reviewed 5 Jan 2025

Poor Customer Service. I was supposed to be emailed a receipt after returning car too, which I have not so it feels like I am in limbo with how much they charged me.Reviewed 15 Dec 2024
