I waited in line for two and a half hours to pick up my car. No other rental car company had a line anywhere near that long. Some had no line at all. Budget staff said, “From May to October, this is how it is.” Well. Btw, Budget and Avis are the same company, and Avis’s line was the next longest after Budget’s.Reviewed 7 July 2024

The car itself was fine. I, along with dozens of other people, waited 2 hours in line at SeaTac to get our cars. They had 10+ counters to check people out but only 3 people working. After about an hour in line 2 more customer service people arrived but soon after that 1 left leaving only 4. It was awful. When I finally got to check out the rep told me the car was full of gas, and to return it that way, standard procedure. The car was in fact nearly empty. I had to take another 30 minutes to find an employee in the car park area to make a note in the computer. That didn’t help, when I turned the car back in they still attempted to charge me 75$ for gas. That was all pretty awful but ok, not the end of the world. Here’s the kicker. I was supposed to pay 126$ for a one way rental from the Seattle airport to the Spokane airport. This was confirmed with the customer service rep at the counter. I returned the car to the Spokane airport 2 hours earlier than scheduled. Went through the standard check out process. A few hours later I look at my credit card statement and see that they’ve charged me 650$ for the rental. Naturally I call. The rep on the phone tells me that I was charged 75$ for gas and 450$ for returning the car at the wrong location in Seattle. I of course told her that I have my confirmation email stating that I was dropping the car off at the Spokane airport. She tells me that on July 19 the reservation was changed. Here’s the thing, I was on a plane, flying to the UAE then into the U.S. on the 19th, it’s a 22 hour flight in total. I asked her who changed my reservation, since no one knew my travel plans as far as who, where or even if I rented a car. She said it only shows as a system update. However, remember earlier in the post when I noted that the customer service rep at the counter had verified the return location? So that made no sense. Bottom line I was charged 335$ in total for a 126$ rental. I will of course take this up with my credit card company as soon as the transactions have all cleared my account. Don’t rent from this company, save yourself the headache and pain and just pay an extra few dollars up front for your rental. This is the only review I’ve ever written about anything, I hope this helps someone not have to go through what I did.Reviewed 22 June 2024

I found my rental reservation cxld. Not sure how that happened. Agent was helpful in getting me a car well van. She wasn’t friendly, just all business and seemed in a hurry to move me on. I explained about dropping the van off in Evertt WA. No instructions given. I get to Everytt following the Google maps and arrive at airport. Airport attendant out front told me put the van in the parking lot and drop the keys in the dropbox inside the brown building. as I was going in the building, another airport employee said to do the same thing so I did. then another employee came along and I asked where the car rental was and he said off of the airport and there’s the phone number. the number that I had so I called and spoke with a budget representative and explain the situation and was told to leave the parking slip in the window of the van. it would’ve been nice to have had some instructions regarding drop off. I wish I had asked the agent at SeaTac but because of her unfriendly attitude I figured I better just go on my way. Other than that the van was great.Reviewed 5 Mar 2024

It was good overall from the moment I picked up the car and the moment I returned it. The only thing that really didn’t work well for me was the amount of fees added to my rental which almost doubled the amount. So much taxes and fees which making me change my mind on renting from the airport and probably pick it up elsewhere.Reviewed 20 Dec 2023

TERRIBLE! After landing waited 2 1/2 hours in line to be waited on. Tried to give me a car when rented SUV, finally got it-was dirty inside. Talked in to getting prepaid tolls, never was on a toll road. Told agent where was going and he said should do the toll thing-huge mistake. By time everything was done I was in the rental car place over 3 hours!! Will never rent from budget again!!!!Reviewed 27 Sept 2023

My only annoyance was a "change oil required" message on the dashboard. As it turned out the car had been recently serviced but the computer not reset. Unfortunately, we couldn't find this out over the phone so had to waste half a day of our holiday going to the nearest Budget location. Otherwise, we were very happy with the car.
