Pros: The moment you walk in the place they greet you with a smile, ask if you need anything or a drink of water. Help you with anything you want and then let you know about their rooftop bar and assist you with whatever you need. Love this place. They should pay their staff more. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable.

Pros: Loved being in a "real" part of NYC instead of a more touristy area. Safe and quiet location. Fun to walk around Chinatown. Great view of the park across the street with people doing tai chi every morning and the Freedom Tower in the background. Nice comfy beds and great water pressure.
Cons: Nothing much to complain about. Our room could have used a paint job but was otherwise fine.

Pros: Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent, within a close walk to all of Manhattan's lower east side, and only a couple blocks from the subway. Our room had a great view of downtown and the Manhattan Bridge!

Pros: I was looking for a hotel in NYC within walking distance of the Lower East Side, and found this. It was one of the cheapest hotels that met that criterion, at $250 per night (not including tax, which brought it up to $290). The room was sufficiently large to be comfortable to move around in, and the bed was firm (which I like). Everything was clean enough. There is free internet and it's fast enough to use it for work. The person who checked me in was friendly and had been nice on the phone when I called to say I'd be checking in late. The person who checked me out was fine, but less friendly. I can't criticize the staff, though - they were fine.
Cons: There is nothing in the hotel to enjoy. No lobby to sit in (i.e., there's the front desk and maybe a chair or two, but that's it), no exercise room as far as I can tell, no restaurant, nothing. And no coffee served in the morning, so you can use the coffee machine in the room (which I never do - no fresh milk for coffee makes it unpalatable) or you can walk for a mile to get somewhere to get coffee. So if you get up early (as I did, coming from France I was on a different time schedule), it's really kind of disappointing and difficult. While it was clean, the price wasn't low enough for me to consider it again. I'd rather pay an extra $50 per night and have a better location and overall better hotel facilities. (I might even be willing to pay $100 more for that - it was really that unpleasant.)

Pros: The view was amazing, hotel was clean and very modern and the staff was incredibly helpful. We were in town for a bike race and they even offered us an hour of entered stay for free so we could shower before driving home.
Cons: The WiFi was a little unpredictable.

Pros: The view from executive level higher floor is amazing. Relaxing in a hot bubble bath with a view and sleeping like a baby due to no noise is truly worth every penny. Friendly professional staff also makes for an amazing experience.

Pros: I especially loved being on the corner of a subway stop, a couple of blocks from Little Italy, a couple of blocks from Chinatown, and walking distance to so much more. The hotel was clean and neat and my room was updated. Even the coffee was good.
Cons: I was alone and just wanted a clean, comfortable room to wash, dress, and sleep in. I didn't care that the room was very small (not even a closet, just 4 hooks) and the bed only a double size. This is NYC. Rent even for studio apartments is ridiculous. But, couples and families should make sure to get a larger room.

Pros: Hotel is steps away from the subway. A short walk to Little Italy and the Financial district. Lobby doors lock in the late evening for added security.
Cons: The bathroom was riddled with mold due to poor cleaning and ventilation. Had to keep to bathroom door closed to avoid the smell.

Pros: Stayed a night prior to NYC Marathon. Location next to subway station was great. Room was mostly clean though small (as expected) with two twin beds. Common areas were average. Not great but not bad.
Cons: Rooms were noisy overlooking Canal Street. We were on the 9th floor so it wasn't very bad, but I can imagine it being louder as you get closer to street level.

Pros: Very good sized room for Nyc Comfy bed Very clean The core stuff was almost all there and really nice. It's clearly a budget hotel, but on the verge of not feeling like one.
Cons: Internet sucked!!! As much as I loved this place and think it's an incredible value, for that reason alone I'd think twice about returning. Can't control room temperature. Too much AC for my liking the first day and I left shivering, but after that was fine. Service very limited. What hotel doesn't have wine glasses? And they had a corkscrew, but I had to talk them into letting me borrow it.

Pros: Cheapest place in the city! Especially if you are coming to New York to be out on the town, not stuck in a hotel room!
Cons: You definitely get what you pay for: 5 story walk up with no elevator can leave you winded, especially with luggage. Rooms so tiny that you cannot open the door because the bed is in the way. 2 bathrooms on a floor with 15+ rooms that could hold 2 people each? You do the math, but no matter how you cut it = long bathroom wait times. Also, bathroom cleanliness is nonexistent. When I finally got in, the floor was soaked, the toilet wouldn't flush, and it was full of someone's vomit! Uuugh! Also, I was eaten alive by some sort of insects...my arms, legs, face...I don't know if they are bed bugs, fleas, mosquitoes? Something that left me covered in itchy wealts. So, the place is a steal for the location and price...just know what you are getting yourself into!

Cons: I pay for a room with 2 beds but they give me one so small whit one bed and smell awful. I say to the receptionist that I pay for two beds and he say that was a mistake of the Paige so I just have one little bed. Most awful experience of my life

Pros: There was a discount for breakfast at a nearby restaurant, "Elevated" which had generous servings of western breakfast. The location, in Chinatown, was less than a mile from where we went to a conference, so that is central to our decision.
Cons: There was no elevator so we had to climb 4 stories up. No refrigerator or coffee meant we were unable to keep extra food from supper and wait for breakfast for coffee.
