Pros: Rooftop tiki bar Very chill vibe Well decorated Connected to a new hip restaurant Free wifi Streaming Environmentally friendly
Cons: Small room, especially for the price Small bathroom, not suited for doing hair and makeup The hallway felt like the Titanic The security gave me a hard time going to the roof (even after I displayed my key)

Pros: Great location and staff was incredibly friendly.
Cons: Rooms are rather small

Excellent9.1
Pros: Great location and very hospitable and clean.
Cons: It was a small space and when the air conditioner needed to be on, it would be incredibly loud.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Pleasant cozy room. There's even a special button at either side of the bed which turns on/off all of the lights including the bathroom. There was a good quality selection for the included breakfast offered in the lobby area.
Cons: It's equidistant from two local subway stops. However there are no express stops nearby. There is a nominal balcony with a beach chair and a view of the water tower.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Good prices. Clean and comfortable rooms which are a bit small but that is why you get the good price. Nice bathroom.
Cons: Need a better sign on the street to help find the hotel. Block is not the nicest but lots of nice restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Pros: The staff was so nice and helpful.
Cons: Paying for Internet is crazy, we travel all over the world rarely is the Internet a extra fee.
Excellent8.2
Pros: The entrance is kind of hidden but the lobby was luxurious and sharp. I really loved the semi-circle lounge area and the colors scheme.
Cons: I didn't like the original room that was assigned to me. I was extremely excited for this booking as it was a birthday surprise for my partner. However, the original room was so tiny it was difficult to move in. As soon as we entered, there was a unpleasant scent. I wasn't sure if it was coming from the ac vent as it looked pretty dingy or if the room wasn't cleaned properly. I took a chance and went downstairs to request a different room. The first front desk associate I asked quickly prompted me that all rooms were booked. When MILTA who overheard as she was getting off a call, generously helped us out. I am forever grateful to MILTA for accommodating my partner and I and for Marcel for providing a room that felt like our own and not a hotel room. Thank you Marcel!

Pros: The staff is very friendly. Rooms nice and clean.
Cons: Decided to go to the 10th floor for the $12.95 breakfast. Very disappointed with the value. No different than what you would have free at Days Inn. Do not recommend it at all. second day ordered a pot of coffee, tasted like colored water.

Pros: The location was perfect for my needs and there is little else to choose from in this area. Staff were cheerful and earnest. The complimentary tea/coffee/lounge with free wi-fi was was stocked and a nice view... excellent touch.
Cons: There were shorts in the electrical system in my room. The air conditioning, electrical outlets charging my devices, and the bathroom light would occasionally spontaneously turn off even when I was inside with the key in place. The window area near the AC and the furniture was really grungy. The wallpaper looked to be at least a decade old, making me think the management hadn't done a full renovation in many years, only superficial spotty maintenance work. Definitely expected more for the price.

Pros: Location is superb, especially for visiting Lower Manhattan or Midtown. Staff was exemplary and very attentive to our needs. I was able to do an early check in. The rooms are quite small. Nice, clean but very small.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Clean and comfortable room. Great rooftop. Perfect location.
Good6.0
Cons: Front desk attendant was somewhat rude upon checkin, when I gave my driver's license and credit card, I was asked if I was sure I made a reservation after I had already advised that I had a reservation for the night. Reservation was not found in their system and I provided the confirmation number, still not located. Finally I emailed my confirmation email to the hotel, then wait 20 minutes for them to sort it all out. Hotel is overpriced for what it is-we received a lower rate than published for the 1 night we were there, but I have paid the same at other places in Manhattan that were much better. i do not recommend due to price and service and would not stay here again.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and the hotel was charming! Great value!

Excellent8.8
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and very comfortable beds, spacious room with nice view at Empire state building. We had a great time.
Cons: Beds are a little small for large (European) travelors. We had a room with two double size beds: 54 in × 75 in; 137 cm × 191 cm
Good6.0
Cons: The room was tiny, for the price stayed at the fans gansevoort for less and had a bigger room.
Excellent8.5
Pros: The location is very convenient, the rooms are modern and comfortable for the most part. I was traveling alone so the small size of the room was not an issue.
Cons: The bathtub was clogged and super slippery. They fixed it after I complained. The bed was not very comfortable, not much support.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff & great East Side location made our stay. Sunny, spacious guest lounge on tenth floor. Decent price; extra for breakfast with limited options, but the Orion Diner around the corner delivers.
Cons: Teeny-tiny room and no on-site room service, though you can get local delivery. Pluses outweigh minuses; we would stay here again and hope for a slightly bigger room!
Excellent8.0
Pros: The bed... was SUPER FIRM. somehow I slept really well but it felt like I was on a cardboard mattress.
Cons: The mattress. The rooms truly are very tiny. Not even room to put out a yoga mat. It was fine bc I knew to expect that. But for anyone expecting any space... you’d be disappointed with a standard room for sure.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Good value
Cons: I forgot to leave a tip for housekeeping the first day I arrived. When I returned in the evening, I found that although the room was properly cleaned, the bathroom supplies (hand towel, shampoo) were not replenished. Everything was back to normal the following days when I did a tip each day.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The hotel was very trendy. We booked the basic room, but we felt it was a little small so I told the attendant at the front I wanted to upgrade the next morning, he told me to call up to the desk the next morning. Once I got back up to my room I received a call that I got a free upgrade and we would be able to stay in the bigger room for our stay which was awesome and close to everything to sight see and the fdr.
Cons: The price of juice was pricey but it's New York and you gotta make money but nothing was bad about the hotel from our experience
Good6.5
Cons: Room size. I requested a room with a single bed and was “upgraded” to a room with double beds and half the space
Good7.0
Excellent10.0
Pros: I loved that the hotel manager Mike Williams is very accommodating to me! I appreciate even the smallest gesture! Staff amazing, good neighborhood, walking distance to the metro! Love it and would definitely stay there again on my next visit! ! Oh and the view from the 10th floor is incredible:)
Pros: The hotel is unique and this is its main appeal. It’s like staying in a diorama, which has its charms.
Cons: The room smelled bad. There was a sink in the main room, on carpet, and I think the area under the sink was mildewed. It just generally didn’t feel terribly clean. It’s clear the cleaning staff did their best, but the facilities are old and in this room, not well tended. Considering how much it cost to stay there, this didn’t feel like good value.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The hotel was unique, centrally located in Manhattan, and was cheap for the area.
Cons: Toilets and showers are shared for the floor (like a dorm) and the rooms are literally just enough space to sleep.
