Pickup — staff was both rude and incompetent. When picking up, I asked to change my dropoff date. After huffing about it, the staff person told me the new price... but conveniently forgot to update the reservation because I was later charged an early return fee. So then I obviously had to call to get it reversed — which no one likes wasting their time doing. Why couldn’t this have been simple and seamless, as usual? Only one reason - the staff. Dropoff — again, the staff person was exceptionally rude. She asked me to get in line when I was only literally mentioning that I was dropping off. Not EVERYONE is trying to cut in line all the time! Sometimes we just don’t want to wait for 6 other people to get helped for a 1 second FYI!2.0 Poor

Overall a huge waste of time. Very inefficient business. Long wait. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff (Evelyn @ 22nd Street). Car was not ready - they quickly cleaned it when we arrived. Rear left blinker was not working. Attitude when we asked to change cars given it was raining and would soon be dark out. Customer service was not helpful when we called.10.0 Wonderful

Once I arrived at the Enterprise location, I was informed by the parking garage attendant that this location had been closed down for 2 weeks. I received no communication prior to arriving there, and was then unable to rent a car with Enterprise, as they had no cars available in the entire NYC area.2.0 Poor

We needed to change cars because the windshield wipers on the car given to us in New York did not work. After much grief (see below), we were finally given excellent service and a new car by Joe and Cassie at the Enterprise office in Augusta, Maine.Cons:
The car we picked up in New York had a faulty driver side windshield wiper and was unsafe to drive in the rain. We tried to call Enterprise from the road and got bounced around and nobody could help us. We finally located an office on our own (The last person we talked to said "Call 911"!)8.4 Very Good

While the people were wonderful, the price was outrageous. $700 to rent a car for 3 days (and this was the cheapest option available) is extremely unreasonable and thus I will not likely use Enterprise ever again. I will also tell others about this unreasonableness.10.0 Wonderful

More openness as to fuel charges. When I asked if I needed to bring the car back with a full tank I was told if I drive more than 75 miles I would be charged $19.95. I used 1/4 tank and was charged over $40.00. NO BARGAIN THIS RENTAL.4.8 Mediocre

They tried to charge me for hair in the car that was there when I picked it up, and charged me a fuel fee (since I didn’t provide a receipt for the gas I bought) despite returning the car with more gas in it than when I picked it up and the only thing telling me I might need to do this being very small, vague print on the form I signed at pickup.Hertz

The inside of the car was dirty when I received it, very sad in any situation but in a pandemic it could be deadly. I felt so inclined that I needed to pull over, purchase my own disinfectant, and clean the inside of the car.
