Pickup — staff was both rude and incompetent. When picking up, I asked to change my dropoff date. After huffing about it, the staff person told me the new price... but conveniently forgot to update the reservation because I was later charged an early return fee. So then I obviously had to call to get it reversed — which no one likes wasting their time doing. Why couldn’t this have been simple and seamless, as usual? Only one reason - the staff. Dropoff — again, the staff person was exceptionally rude. She asked me to get in line when I was only literally mentioning that I was dropping off. Not EVERYONE is trying to cut in line all the time! Sometimes we just don’t want to wait for 6 other people to get helped for a 1 second FYI!2.0 Poor

Overall a huge waste of time. Very inefficient business. Long wait. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff (Evelyn @ 22nd Street). Car was not ready - they quickly cleaned it when we arrived. Rear left blinker was not working. Attitude when we asked to change cars given it was raining and would soon be dark out. Customer service was not helpful when we called.10.0 Wonderful

A lot of nickel and dimeing going on when picking up the car. I already bought insurance online, but they tried to sell me another insurance? Over $20 to use the E-ZPass? $10/gal for gas seems absurd, I refuelled myself.Avis

Really needed better cleaning -whoever is in charge of it. I ended up spending time wiping down interior with Lysol wipe and spraying with Purell disinfectant and then having to wait for all to disinfect and dry, since I could see that it hadn’t been throughly cleaned.4.4 Mediocre

It would be better if this Avis had the cars they promised. The line was down the block of customers like me that reserved and pIs for cars that were not available. We had to wait for up to 2 hours for reserved cars to be brought from other location. Why don’t they bring the cars they know they have reserved to le location before their customers arrive? The pickup process was quick and easy and I was glad I was not pushed to purchase additional coverage and all fees were explained to me clearly. I also appreciated the prompt receipt sent to me the day after I returned the vehicleCons:
The address provided for returning the rental car was at least several blocks away from the actual location, which led me to circle around looking for where the actual Hertz location was. I also was not aware that the location was closed over the weekend, hence I didn't know how or where to return the car keys.2.0 Poor

We needed to change cars because the windshield wipers on the car given to us in New York did not work. After much grief (see below), we were finally given excellent service and a new car by Joe and Cassie at the Enterprise office in Augusta, Maine.Cons:
The car we picked up in New York had a faulty driver side windshield wiper and was unsafe to drive in the rain. We tried to call Enterprise from the road and got bounced around and nobody could help us. We finally located an office on our own (The last person we talked to said "Call 911"!)8.4 Very Good

While the people were wonderful, the price was outrageous. $700 to rent a car for 3 days (and this was the cheapest option available) is extremely unreasonable and thus I will not likely use Enterprise ever again. I will also tell others about this unreasonableness.10.0 Wonderful
