Arrived at 4:17pm for my 4:15pm pickup. Line had about 10-12 people in front of me. One person working. At 4:43 there were still 6 people ahead of me. I canceled my reservation and borrowed a friend’s car instead. 30min later and I still wasn’t able to get my rental is unacceptable. It would have taken nearly an hour had I continued to wait.

The drop off at Midway was very confusing. Directions were very unclear. And there were no luggage trolleys available which made unloading the car extremely difficult.

Cons:

The car smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I was in a hurry, and the attendant walked away after giving me the keys, so I didn't have time to find someone to see if I could exchange the car. However, the smell was so strong we had to drive with the windows down the entire 4 hour trip.

Terrible. They didn’t have a car on the category I booked, and technically gave me an “upgrade” to a Van which did not meet my needs. So I had to pay another $60 for an actual upgrade so I could get another car, which on the receipt ended up being $120 dollars. I will never use Sixt again and would never recommend them to someone else.

I walked 15 min in soaking rain to get there. I hade pre checked in online using my driver license. Once I arrived, soaking wet they tell me I need my passport and that it was written in the fine print. I had to walk for 30 min while NYC was being flooded to get it. I still can’t find where it sais I need my passport. They emailed me an hour before pickup time saying I could go in online and choose my luxury car. It never worked, got a Cadillac small suv instead of the BMW advertised as luxury. I have had several BMW, the Cadillac didn’t come close.

Had to wait in line for two hours to get the car due to Hertz management and operational failures. Cars were not cleaned as they were delivered to the location by Hertz late (typically Hertz drops off the night before, but in this case they were dropped off the same morning). Further, only two employees were working when typical staff is 3-4 people (the manager stated that they knew they had over 40 reservations to fill that morning). Apparently Hertz management fired two people at the location earlier in the week without having substitute staff ready. Despite having booked two weeks in advance (and having pre-paid) my ordered car type was not available. The manager at the location refused any sort of compensation for Hertz's multiple failures on management and operational levels. Syrupy sweet words do not cover mismanagement and the cost in time that I incurred. Enterprise has been a better outfit on every occasion. It is no accident that the stock is near all-time lows, they have serious problems at Hertz.

Cons:

Bad communication around drop off time, we had to go back the day after at 7am to return the car because nobody was there at the time we agreed upon and no one from the call center was able to help. Please rent from an airport and avoid Dollar in the city.

Cons:

There's hidden fee/scam like approach to tolls. The fees they applied were never disclosed or discussed at pickup/dropoff. There are no other options and compared to the other major rental companies these fees are exorbitant and excessive. This is a major issue that has been thoroughly documented online with renters dissatisfaction. Unacceptable.

took me 20 minutes on foot to find it as the Address does not correspond with the GPS on Google or maps or safari. You need to correct the address and say it is the the parking garage 2 blocks before 339 south end ave.

Drop off instructions (which were confirmed on the phone) were misleading. We ended up in the wrong garage and had to pay $26 for "parking" there (we were there for 6 minutes). I also still haven't received a receipt for the charges.

I had to get two new cars because of maintenance issues. Had to use my own trike aaa because it took so long to get through. Wait times on the phones were almost always a half hour. First car had a tire blow out. Second car had tire pressure issues. Had to drive to new locations to pick up, even thought he second time they said they would deliver a car.

Pros:

The staff was very nice and got me a car that was clean and comfortable. They explained what was included and what was additional with patience and clarity. They were also very friendly.

Cons:

The car's oil change indicator was triggered when I picked up the car. The car's tank was also only filled halfway upon pickup. I expected the tank to be full when I picked up the car, so that was very disappointing.

The staff in BK was incredible, the car was excellent (and larger than what I thought I paid for, which was really helpful)

Cons:

When I arrived there was an issue with the scanner; my name didn't pop up when I returned the car, and as a result I had to wait around while they figured it out, but no one ever explained the issue to me.
