The pickup and drop-off experience is compromised by the proximity of the rental car parking area. You have to drag your luggage to a tram which is 20 minutes from the terminal door. It's not a Hertz issue, it's an airport design issue.Reviewed 1 Feb 2025

I booked a car via KAYAK one way from Phoenix to Tucson. In the booking it was stated that car is by agency choice. When I cam to pick-up, I was told that this is "manager special" and it is electric car with less than 100miles range, clearly not match to my booking. As a result I was charged extra $20 for gasoline car. I do not understand why I was offered the option that is clearly not suitable for my request and thus I was charged extra.Reviewed 14 Sept 2024

When I arrived in Arizona, I made a reservation to go back home. I did it through the Internet and the Internet gave me the wrong dates. I ran to the airport because it was a Sunday. The only place that was open was the airport the guy at the airport I don’t remember his name. I told him that I made a reservation that I need to cancel it because the date was wrong. He said no problem. He would cancel it. I try to get a car to rent, but I only had my debit card The company does not take a debit card the rest of my cards I could not use, so young guy promised he would cancel reservation . Well, he didn’t and I kept getting emails. Finally I called the company after half hour finally someone came to the phone. The girl said no problem. She’ll cancel it for me that it was not canceled. Hopefully my card wasn’t charged so I’m not happy about the whole ordeal because I was promised it was gonna be canceled and it wasn’t and not only that the screen was open left open. I did ask him to close the screen. He said it was fine, so I’m hoping that my credit cards are not in the web somewhereReviewed 19 June 2024
