The room was really cold and it took til morning for it to get warm. Signage for reception is very poor when you enter from ground floor car drop off. That entrance doesn’t feel welcoming- more like you’ve come in the wrong entrance.

Pros:
The room was very comfortable. The hotel staff were fantastic. The organisation for meals with take away to the rooms was very well managed. The professionalism and friendly nature of the staff was very much appreciated, especially the gentlemen from Cardiff, during what must be an extremely difficult time for all concerned.
Cons:
1.The biggest problem was the transport to the North Terminal. The shuttle was suspended and the bus that served as a substitute was badly sign posted and without any clear indication of where the bus stop was. There are several levels that look almost identical and I almost missed my flight as a result. My suggestion would be a sign that said SHUTTLE BUS TO NORTH TERMINAL. EVERY 12 MINUTES. Why is that so difficult? 2.The shower was beautiful but a little deficient as far as water pressure and temperature was concerned. 3. A few guests were moving around the hotel without masks.

Location handy for Nortb terminal although shuttle train wasn't working and we had to wait 15 mins for shuttle bus in the freezing weather.
Cons:
Too cold because the hotel had low occupancy because of Covid. They didn't heat thd rooms. The aircon wouldn't go above 25c and it was -3c outside. Took ages for the room to warm up.

This was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in in a hotel. I called the front desk, but they would not move my room. The manager said he would send a pillow topper, but he never did. NOT a good sleep/stay. Will NOT stay there again.

We were not overly impressed with the quality of the room itself did not feel like a 4 star hotel. I would recommend this hotel because it is at the south terminal of Gatwick so easy to get to and from flights.

I liked the fact that this hotel was literally a minute away from the airport. The concierge packed our luggage onto the airport trolleys and showed us the hallway that connected the hotel to the airport and before we knew it, we were at the terminal.

Excellent location - very convenient to catch my early flight the next morning. Receptionist on arrival was very pleasant and helpful. Furthermore I was extremely happy as I arrived a few hours before the 15.00 check in time and a room was ready and waiting for me. Hassle free check in :)

It is in Londons Gatwick airport which is perfect when you have an early morning flight. It is also in the train station, so you are able to catch a train into Victoria Station and then the underground TUBE trains in downtown London.

Was quite run down. Hallway carpets dirty and ripped. Bathrm plumbing very poor -knob missing to turn on shower, had to bend low to wash myself. Sink faucet had one speed- full blast so clothes got wet when washing up. No mouth rinsing glass. TV old.

Couldn't charge phone next to bed because there were no outlets. I needed to charge my phone, but wanted to have it next to me in bed. This may seem minor, but it was very irritating. Lots of noise in the corridors. I wanted to turn on lamp next to bed only, but only option was wall switch, which turned on every light in the room. I didn't want every light on. Food options are very expensive, at the hotel and inside the airport. There is a very nice Indian cuisine restaurant, Jai Ho, outside the airport complex in Horley that is a short walk away. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is terribly maintained. Had to switch rooms twice due to bathroom related maintenance issues. They finally put me in a decent room on the executive lounge, which was OK but even that had its issues. AC was terrible and the spacing between the bathroom sink and faucet was very awkward, making it difficult to effectively wash your hands. All in all a pretty bad hotel. The staff was nice though.

Our air conditioner was broken when we arrived and the room was incredibly hot. The engineer was very nice and apologized quickly and requested a room change. It then took concierge a further hour to relocate us (10 rooms down the hall). At which point our children were completely starving and exhausted. The food in the garden restaurant buffet was mostly good, though expensive, but we were seated in a dark corner because we were a family, where the staff were already setting the tables for breakfast around us. Service was polite but very slow and waiters were unaware of the fact that children ate for free.
