Pros: So, to start off, let me say that this is not a hotel. It's a cheap way to share a room with seven other people and have a little base of operations to explore from.
The thing that impressed me most was how clean it was. Every time I went anywhere in the hostel, there was someone cleaning something. I felt very comfortable in that.
Also, having a lot of internationals around makes for great conversation. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great stay overall!

Cons: Everything. The minute we get there we are ignored for a good 15min while the front desk flirted with a girl in the lobby. We are finally helped, but with attitude from the minute I opened my mouth to check in. Then we were told I had to have a passport to check in. I provided my out of state drivers license and was told that still wasn't enough. They had to have an itinerary showing that I planned on leaving. Nothing on the website we used to book advised anything about having to provide a passport and i have stayed at sevreal hostels around the US and never once did they require a passport to stay at their establisment. I even double checked my itinerary details when we left to see if there was any disclaimer. We ended up just cancelling our reservations as long as they didn't charge us. The guy checking us in was rude the entire time and had little to no care if we stayed. Never again.

Cons: The only thing I didn't really enjoy as much (and this really couldn't be avoided) was sharing a room with 7 people. Not that they weren't nice; just the awkwardness of not having much privacy and trying not to make much noise when you come in late or head out early. Other than that, it was great.

Cons: There was nothing in the room to tell me about wifi, and I just never bothered to ask at the desk. Parking is very tight, but free. The motel is in a bad part of town. Several cars of homeless people camping out on the side street below my window. Lots of street noise and in the morning a s-load of trash strew about on the sidewalk. I just kept my shutters closed so I did not have to see. Rooms need new furniture, light fixtures and paint. Really looks run down. Pool area surrounded by bright orange fencing makes it appear to be a construction zone. Worth less than $100 a night for sure.

The location of the room on a very busy and loud street was unfortunate - no sleep without earplugs, and you had to crank up the volume on the TV all the way just to hear over the street noise. I assume the rooms on the other side of the building are not as loud.
