Pros: Last minute reservations led me to this hotel. I was at a wedding and the celebration was extended and we needed a place to crash. Price is decent, parking is not what I was expecting. Even if you stay you get charged 32.00 bucks to leave your car in the premises.

Pros: An older property that retains its character but nicely updated, Hotel Normandie is a comfortable property in a great location. Walk to some of the best Korean food in the world! The staff is friendly and without a lot of effort, you could imagine yourself in a classic movie! The lobby evokes a different age. Also, a fun cafe is accessible from the lobby.

Pros: I liked that it was pretty quiet for an area that was really busy during the day and night. Other than that I'd recommend this place even for an over night trip. The staff was super nice and welcoming. One of the nice ladies in the front complemented me on my fresh tattoo and I really appreciated it cos it was important to me.

Cons: The only parking option was $32/day vallet. The hotel was very sparse in amenities (e.g. the lobby is pretty much decorative, no breakfast, no coffee). There wasn't a lot of space for us to eat our take out. Where do you throw our baby'd dirty diapers away?!

Pros: It was perfect for my stay in Los Angeles. The hotel was beautiful and felt unique. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Maid service was on top of it when I requested it. Overall, I would stay there again.
Cons: No counter or vanity space in the bathroom. My toiletries and makeup ended up on the back of the toilet. I normally live out of my suitcase, but there was barely any storage in the room if you wanted to unpack your stuff.

Cons: I had a leak through the ceiling of my shower for my entire visit. After several attempts to resolve the problem, the problem persisted causing the bathroom floor to constantly remain very wet.

Outside noise was very loud, the hotel is located on a busy street and you can hear sirens, car horns, and just normal traffic. The little store in the main lobby is over priced. My significant other had a head ache and didn't want to drive to a convenience store and paid $4 for 4 Advil pills.

Cons: Priced up to 230$/night. (Varies by day) for that price I expect some level of luxury-esq. yet only had a loud window AC in the record setting LA heat of early July. No microwave, No ironing board, not even an ice bucket/machine, the only closet looked like it was bought at ikea a decade ago, the fridge was ridiculously small ones that can barely fit a six pack of bottle necks. The room came with 2 towels and I was told no when I requested a 3rd for my daughter.... I needed to get a roll away bed for my 5YO which then charged me 10$/night for which is crazy to me. Parking was 25$/night (no valet) which I talked down to 20$ but it’s in a tiny cramped lot, if you get back late you’ll be lucky to find a spot. Location is sketchy at best, at least in walking distance to restaurants if your crazy enough to cross a street in LA. Bottom line, it’s a low end hotel at resort prices... will not be returning.

Cons: For 2 of the three nights I got almost no sleep. There were other rooms around mine where numerous ( 5 in one room?) people were loudly yelling, partying, and who know what else. The management was unable to handle this.
Also, I had a truck which is $30 per night extra, not $20. I found this out as I left. It wasn't a great experience all around. But that said, the staff was really nice, especially the parking lot guys.

Why is there not even a vending machine to get water? I had to resort to just filling several small glasses of water from the lobby.

Pros: My husband and I stayed in a standard suite with 2 beds with windows facing the Ralph's. The area was pretty sketchy and there were a lot of homeless people around. The room was okay. The furniture was dated and so was the smell of the hotel. The bathroom had a tub/shower and was roomy. Parking structure was pretty tight and kind of confusing to know designated parking areas between "reserved" and normal customer parkings. But it was free so I guess you can't beat that. The good thing about this place is that it was really close to the Wiltern theater if you have to attend a concert. And the staff was really friendly. There was also free wifi; though not the fastest but still useable. It was decent for what we paid for.

Cons: The stairs were completely closed for most of our stay due to construction. The sheets made us very itchy. The lock on the door malfunctioned & locked us out of our room several times. There was black mold & a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Lots of sound transference. Honestly I think this hotel should've been closed the weekend I was there. It was unsafe. The staff said construction would be over next week, but that was irrelevant to me as I was only there during construction.
