The day that I arrived there was a shortage of cars at Thrifty, which caused a significant delay for everyone getting their rentals. This was due to an earlier weeks earthquake in New York. Although this was dissapointing as I could not leave for my destination until I received my car, but I have to applaud Thrify employees for keeping good attitude and taking the time to explain to everyone why there is a delay, and that they are doing everything they can to get us out of there. The people were friendly and helpful but they do try to upsell (eg electronic toll pass, extra insurance coverage). When driving to exit or enter the vehicle storage area, there isn't much room to maneuver and there are some tight turns.Reviewed 1 Dec 2023

At the time of car pick up, it looked like a bird egg fell out of a nest and was stuck to the top of the car roof. Scraping it off the car (with a partially formed bird inside) was not pleasant.Reviewed 23 June 2021

Cons:Car smelled like cigarettes, i prepaid online and then was charged extra at pickup, more than doubling the rental cost. " Mandatory liability insurance, concession fees that weren't mentioned online and $44 for a toll pass which I chose to add). None of which were mentioned online when reserving and paying "In Full". My $125 car rental turned into $300. Felt like a bait and switch. Dishonest advertising. Once i was there for pickup, i needed the car and had no choice but to pay what they were asking.Reviewed 15 May 2021

Pros:The staff were fine.Cons:All the little extras really add up. I was charged 88 dollars for a concession fee recovery, I have no idea what that even is. The easy pass was 22 dollars a day which got expensive real fast.Reviewed 6 Apr 2021

Pros:Pickup was a mess. Unfriendly staff. No choices. Handed the wrong car (paperwork handed to me didn't match the plate on the car) so was turned back by their security guard when trying to leave the premises. Had to fall back in line again - staff acknowledged they made a mistake. Finally received another vehicle. Tried to contact Thrifty halfway through the rental when the car had mechanical issue - spent forever on the line (on hold) and was not able to resolve the issue as they had too few staff available to deal with the issue.Reviewed 5 Apr 2021

Cons:The price on kayak was $100 less than what we ended up having to pay. Pros:Service staff at pickup very friendly. Good value. Car was clean.Cons:Had a low tire that should have been caught and I had to deal with. Have to take two shuttles to get to any terminal other than A, but not a big deal maybe 10 minutes.Reviewed 29 Jan 2021

Cons:Cleaning fee was a ripoff- there was one dog hair didn’t even have a dog in the car. Arguing against them is futile, and Met with condescension and rudeness... the flat rate fee for ezpass was also a ripoff. Drop off had an illegal club laser running indoors which was shining on glass- also very illegal because it is unsafe. Employees not wearing masks and standing too close to me when I was trying to exit the vehicle.Reviewed 19 Jan 2021
