Cons: The entire HUGE MESS from booking til sitting on our last airplane. The “new reservation” system is a horrible joke. The right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing so you get completely wrong info and they won’t do anything about it. I’m a wheelchair assist and had to call 6 times to remind them to put it on my ticket even though each time I was shown that it had been added. They kept seating on the back row of the plain and blamed me for not calling ahead to “let them know I was wheelchair assist so they could reseat me” BUT...they won’t answer you call unless it’s 24 before your flight and then to check at the airport who then tells us it’s out fault cause we didn’t call more then 36 hrs ahead...YOU CANT CALL THAT FAR AHEAD...and ...get this “they don’t have wheelchair assist on my ticket/file”. I about lost my mind over the hours on hold and every different answer as to what what to do and in the end blamed us. ASTONISHING TO ME. THEN THEY HAVE THE NERVE ON-BOARD TO ANNOUNCE THEY ARE THE BEST AIRLINE IN NORTH AMERICA 2019...HORSE PUCKY!!!

Pros: The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada.

Pros: The crew was awesome! The steward was engaging and made us all laugh and feel comfortable for a short flight when he didn’t have to. He had a great sense of humor and gave the kids cookies and wings. Something I haven’t seen in many years. He and the pilots were great!

Cons: honesty. 29 minute flight took 3 hours. first they blamed it on waiting for luggage, then they likely realized there were no connecting fllights, so that excuse didn't work, then they were 'closing the cargo doors' for 45 minutes, then they had to de-ice as the plane had now sat for 4 hours instead of 45 minutes, had it left on time.

Pros: Very kind associate working at the gate. She helped me obtain my seat assignment and was a pleasure to speak with. Her happiness was contagious (even at 6am!). She put me at ease.

Cons: The last travelers in boarding line (including myself) had to check their carry on luggage because “there was no more room in the overhead compartments”. However, while I was walking to my seat, I saw ample storage space as well as suitcases that were laying horizontally or flat and could easily have been adjusted to create even more space. Given that most people pack their most valuable items in their carry on bags (as well as anything fragile), I was a bit uneasy checking mine. The associate who helped check my bag on the tarmac was kind. I was grateful that my luggage had a hard shell case.

Cons: The flight was delayed by 3 hours making me late for the next two flights and ultimately costing me an entire day longer in transit. While I understand these things happen, Air Canada's response to me asking for help was abysmal. Ultimately, they didn't care and told me it was my problem. Sadly, one of the first people I talked to really did want to help and arranged flights that would have gotten me back on track but he was prevented from confirming the changes due to management. I will never fly with Air Canada ever again.

For example my flight was canceled the young lady behind the counter was more helpful than the manager when exploring options to get me on my way to Sudbury in which I had to catch the bus which was fine but to get to that conclusion took forever they provided a ride to the station and thats it

Cons: crew onboard seemed super tense and it was just awkward with them. It was a short flight, maybe they've had a long day but it was weird. biscuits and a beverage were offered - i think biscuits are gross maybe try pretzels or something healthy? ALSO, the new system (whatever that means) is awful. i experienced so many delays that made it difficult to find my booking and my checked bag >_<

Cons: Terrible. Flights delayed by 90 minutes. Then on boarding we as a couple weren’t sat next to each other on the four across plane, but in the two aisle seats. This was bad. But then no one was sat next to my wife. So an empty seat, my wife, me, then a stranger. C’mon Air Canada, figures it out.

Pros: Extremely late-no specific reason-AC lounge closed at 9 so we were asked to leave-boarding area was so packed no where to sit so sat on “rails”. After 3 hrs delay u expect something like some peanuts to compensate-but no-they are as bad as any other NA airline if not worse-awful service, all they wanted cared after giving some soda or water is to Collect the garbage-plane was not cleaned properly. Dirty paper and cups in pockets. Wish i did not have to fly AC

Pros: the plane didn't crash.

Cons: honesty. 29 minute flight took 3 hours. first they blamed it on waiting for luggage, then they likely realized there were no connecting fllights, so that excuse didn't work, then they were 'closing the cargo doors' for 45 minutes, then they had to de-ice as the plane had now sat for 4 hours instead of 45 minutes, had it left on time.

Cons: The Delta line to drop my bags was long and unorganized. The ticket agents were moving in slow motion. I waited over an hour to drop my bag. I thought I was going to miss my flight.

Pros: Before boarding, which was late, the crew called me to the podium twice to ask me to give up my aisle seat which I had pre-booked, each time losing me my seat in the crowded waiting area. The flight arrived in SFO two hours late.

Cons: The flight could have been on time and the boarding crew could have been considerate.

Pros: We paid $400CAD as a OneUp bid to upgrade to Skycouch. We then saw there was a skycouch row free on the plane, and I appreciated that they gave the first choice of this row to paying customers. So we ended up with two skycouch rows, one per person. Was a dream flight, could not fault them.

Pros: Flight attendant Odette was exceptionally professional and pleasant, moreso than any other AA crew in recent memory.

Cons: It took a long time before we received an explanation of why we were delayed in takeoff and during that time the smell of jet fuel filled the cabin.

Pros: It was difficult to find something to like.

Cons: Everything could have been better. The terminal out of Charlotte looked like a bus terminal, unacceptable for AA since it is one of their hubs. I understand it was a busy holiday weekend, but the airline should have been better prepared for our arrival. While the pilot did an excellent job in getting us in NY on time after airport delays on departure, AA must have not had enough staff working when we arrived. Customers waited over 30 minutes for bags to arrive, which arrived at a different belt than what had been originally scheduled. There were no AA staff in sight when we arrived in NY either. I will do my best not to fly AA again.

Pros: The on-board crew were great. Super friendly and chatty. Almost a WestJet feel instead of the serious aloofness that AC is known for

Cons: The entire HUGE MESS from booking til sitting on our last airplane. The “new reservation” system is a horrible joke. The right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing so you get completely wrong info and they won’t do anything about it. I’m a wheelchair assist and had to call 6 times to remind them to put it on my ticket even though each time I was shown that it had been added. They kept seating on the back row of the plain and blamed me for not calling ahead to “let them know I was wheelchair assist so they could reseat me” BUT...they won’t answer you call unless it’s 24 before your flight and then to check at the airport who then tells us it’s out fault cause we didn’t call more then 36 hrs ahead...YOU CANT CALL THAT FAR AHEAD...and ...get this “they don’t have wheelchair assist on my ticket/file”. I about lost my mind over the hours on hold and every different answer as to what what to do and in the end blamed us. ASTONISHING TO ME. THEN THEY HAVE THE NERVE ON-BOARD TO ANNOUNCE THEY ARE THE BEST AIRLINE IN NORTH AMERICA 2019...HORSE PUCKY!!!
