Alamo overbooked their vehicles and we never got our rental. We were stranded and ended up paying $250 + tip for a car service to take us to our destination. There was no apology and no compensation for our time.

Nothing. Hertz was awful.

Cons:

Everything. I prepaid for an SUV in Orlando. The location we were given to pick up did not exist. When calling Hertz reps to provide a correct address and assist, they told me the address I was given was correct. That was not true as the address given was a motel. Then the reps said they now had no car for me. We called numerous times as each time when I told rep it was unacceptable they put me on hold and eventually hung up on me. Horrible customer service. As it was a very busy time in Orlando no other car rental company had a car for us either. We made it work with cabs but it was pretty inconvenient to not have a car on vacation for a week. This was one of the worst representations of a company in all facets once we tried to get assistance. I would never use Hertz again.

I liked driving the wrangler.

Cons:

First off this hertz has no sign outside stating that i was at the right location. I was circling around for a while. Hertz blamed you (kayak), for not having my “full” phone number to inform me that they didnt have a convertible as i requested. Lastly, when dropping off before hours of operation, their drop off box was broken.

I thought the location was at the airport and it was 30 miles away. I had to pay a 50 dollar taxi. I got their and the sight said closed at 2pm. I called the number provided and he said he couldn't provide me with the car I needed. I paid another 50 dollar taxi. I had to book a new reservation with hertz and paid double my original cost.

Cons:

When I search car rentals orlando airport. I want results at the airport not a place 30 miles away with no shuttle.

The lady at the airport facility was nice, but that doesn't matter after being charged for 4 cars, taking a cab to get a car that wasn't there (remote location) and then being blasted to drop off the car that actually was available back where I placed the order/drop for the vehicle.

Cons:

The inventory and attention to details is not remotely on point.

Made reservation through Kayak for vehicle for 7 passengers plus luggage. Waited in line at Thrifty counter in Orlando over an hour only to find my reservation was for a mid size car and they were sold out. Never using Kayak again.

Absolutely nothing. When I got to Orlando and Uber to the rental car counter it wasn’t even open. No cars were available. Here I am in Orlando on vacation with no vehicle. Call Dollar they said they could do nothing for me. That I had to go through Priceline. I called Priceline they said they could do nothing for me because I needed to go through kayak. Called Kayak and they said I needed to cancel my reservation and make another reservation. There were no cars available at the price I was originally paying. They wanted more than double what I was originally paying. They were very unhelpful and really didn’t care that I had an issue. I tried getting some type of discount code so I can try to get another vehicle somewhere else. They said no codes were available. I ended up finding a car not through you people and it ended up costing me $580. I was not very happy but at least they had a vehicle. I don’t think I will ever go through Priceline kayak or deal with dollar rental car again because of the customer service sucks.

Nothing!! Absolutely terrible experience that I will tell to all my friends and family.

Cons:

Everything!! I reserved a rental car to be picked up and dropped off at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Upon arrival at the Dollar Car Rental desk at MCO, they informed me that they had no rental car for my reservation because the pick-up location on the reservation was in downtown Orlando which was nearly 20 miles away from the airport. I paid a taxi more than $50 to drive me to this pick up location only to be told that this location is for drop offs only. They do not offer the service to pick-up a rental car at their location. I called the Dollar Rental desk at the Orlando Airport and they said they have no cars available. Now I have a reservation but no rental car. I called the reservation line several times to describe my situation and was repeatedly disconnected when asked to be placed on hold. When I tried to get an alternate vehicle the cost was well over $1,000 due to spring break limited availability. I had to spend 4 days in Orlando with no rental car and no easy way to travel around town.

The whole experience was a disaster that left us stranded at a random hotel that we had to Uber to with no agent available!

Cons:

We never received the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The reservation was for Orlando Airport, Priceline took the reservation and put us as a pickup at a hotel down town that we had to pay $30 to Uber to and there was no agent at the location!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were STRANDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE WAS NO MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE!!!!!!!! THERE WAS NO AGENT AVAILABLE AT THE SITE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO REACH ANYONE AT PRICELINE THAT HAD ANY SOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WERE FORCED TO FIND OUR OWN WAY OF TRANSPORTATION AFTER 3 HOURS OF TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH DIFFERENT REPS FROM DOLLAR AND PRICELINE!!!!!! TERRIBLE START TO OUR VACATION!!!!!! The pick up and drop off location was closed. I was stuck in the airport for two hours trying to find anyone who would help me get a car. It wasn’t until I reached my breaking point that I finally had someone help me and get me a car.

Cons:

Be more flexible and have more staff available. When I called about the car rental, it kept directing me to hotel.

When I arrived there was a sign that said the location was closed and offered phone numbers for 2 Thrifty locations across town. I called them and they did not have the vehicle I reserved available. I ended up with NO rental car despite having reserved more than 30-days in advance.

Cons:

Kayak should not partner with Thrifty. The pickup location I was sent to was closed and Thrifty did not have any rental to accommodate my reservation. If you book with Thrifty, you might end up with NO RENTAL CAR like we did.

The only thing I liked was that they have unlimited tolls for 11.99.

The car was not clear. Literally I had to clean it myself because there were cheetos’ stains and bread crumbs all over the car. They should keep their cars disinfected and clean especially now due to the pandemic...

I traveled for business and processed this reservation online through Kayak with a business card. When I landed at the airport to pick up my rental car, the woman at the counter informed me it was not paid for just "reserved" and they couldn't charge the same card. A rental car for an entire week is A LOT of money to pay when you are under the assumption it is already paid for. This was definitely not communicated clearly in the booking process. I have rented cars several other times at a variety of places and this was not the process previously. When I returned the car to the airport, not a single counter was manned. All counters had signs pointing to each other saying "if no one is at this counter please go to the (insert company name here) counter".....but nobody was there. I finally settled on putting the keys for my National rental in the Enterprise dropbox on the counter because it was the only safe way to return it.
