Positive: flown United before no issue Negative: it only takes one bad experience to not plan future travel with United Cancún departure was delayed by 1h20 minutes, connection in Chicago was 1h30 minutes. Flight departure time 6:08 Miraculously 7 of us ran 4 kilometres through Chicago to arrive at 6:00 to be told very rudely by the 2 unprofessional United attendants you missed your flight and that we should of arrived early. Did I mention that reason I was flying? I received a call that my brother was dying and to get home. They provided no assistance would not answer any of our questions, ignorantly walked away. Deplorable

I was not able to buy food in the flight. They refer to include your Credit card in the APP, and if you are not from USA (i have a credit card form Canada) it is not possible
Liked the excellent United crew, the food selection, the comfortable cabin and the excellent movie and tv shows selection. The interface on the screen is also excellent and gives the option to let the crew know to wake you up for meals, or not. I disliked the onboarding experience at the Brussels airport. The process is convoluted and was not explained to any passengers. I also don't understand why thee is an additional security screening when getting off the plane from Africa, when there was none when getting off the plane from the US.
Paid WiFi was only available for a few minutes. Avoid at all costs.
There was not much effort from the airline to give a solution after flight was canceled due to weather conditions. Two days waiting at the airport for a connection unacceptable. Thanks for the experience!
Customer service - staff was effective in getting my trip rescheduled
I contacted both carriers months beforehand to change the cabin (booked in April) but to no avail (united asked to contact Swiss since it was their equipment, Swiss told me to reach out to united). So yeah… My seat was pretty worn down, legroom on 27K was more than enough, but still economy seating so, getting to know your neighbours was easy. According to ground staff, the flight was massively overbooked- and this showed. I ordered a gluten free meal beforehand (which was honoured) but for breakfast got a bread roll and croissant 🤷🏼♂️ The connection itself is great. Leaving SFO late PM to arrive at ZRH in the afternoon makes it easier to get re adjusted again. However, and since I’ve flown this connection a couple of times in the past, I will rather deal with one carrier only and include a layover on the east coast.
Lufthansa really doesn’t care. Had my 11yr old sitting in a different aisle than me. Ticketing and staff and boarding said they couldn’t do anything!!! Typical Lufthansa flight…always the same!
Due to a cancelled flight the day before this flight only had 44 people. Best flight ever on international route. Food getting better. Can United provide fruit ex apples and bananas for snacks? Crew fantastic.
Entertainment system did not function screen kept trying to reset. There was no beverages handed out luckily it was short flight.
