Cons: "It was awful getting boarding passes and paying for check in luggage in Venice. I assumed we couldn't check in early online much like the earlier Lufthansa flight. Then when we got to the airport there were long lines to check in and no machines to self check in. When we finally got to the front of the line the woman said we had to pay for our checked baggage elsewhere and then come back for the boarding passes. Unheard of elsewhere. The people in the office where you pay for checked baggage took their time and chatted and had no sense of urgency. The first woman we spoke to apparently filled out the form incorrectly. We had to rush to get to the plane and we barely made it through long security lines. We almost missed the plane due to the lack of early information and check in, the cumbersome payment process, etc. It was the worst check in process ever."

I woke up just as the crew had passed my row for breakfast and then couldn't get the attention of the lady to serve me breakfast. A vegan option for the menu would be excellent. The leg room on the plane was also very reduced for an 11 hour flight. I wish I would have been offered to pay an additional amount and upgrade to the business class. This option was never offered to me at check-in."

Cons: "I had such a miserable experience getting to Florence on Swiss Air that I sent a letter of complaint WHILE ON VACATION!! Really. It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."

Cons: "I did not get a check in reminder email which I thought was strange. I tried checking in and received an error message. I contacted customer service by email and was told I was all checked in. Assuming no issues I went to airport to find out it was canceled. I did not receive an explanation. I waited in line for two hours before speaking to a representative. Was made to feel like it was my fault I hadn't worked things out while waiting in line-"didn't you receive an email!?" I was told no other options except to leave the next day. I pulled up many other flights out of Venice that would get me home in time and was told that there simply were no other options. The real explanation was that Swiss didn't want to pay out to get me home in time. I had to pay more money to get back into the city rather than sit in airport for 12 hours."

Pros: "upgraded to First Class with Voucher. Service was immaculate, very friendly and professional. First Class, at least on this flight was a bit aged, the seat is quite comfortable but you could see that it is actually already old."
Cons: "Entertainment system with old low-res monitors and outdated system. Didn't work for a while and had to be restarted several times. Needs urgent renewal."
