The pickup is not at the airport but a 4-5 min shuttle away. The pickup is straightforward, they have enough staff to minimize wait times. They did not have our reserved childseats which made the trip unsafe but we managed. They also try to upsell insurance and other add ons, we stood firm and got what we agreed/paid for minus the carseats. Overall I'd give this experience a 6/10.Reviewed 5 Apr 2024

I rent the same time every year with them in Mexico - for an extended amount of time approx 24-30 days, this year it was an additional $1,000 more!!! I had them pull up last years and sure enough it showed it was less. I truly like the convenience of the location and service but to get stuck with double what I typically pay is not worth it. We use to rent from Hertz and there was a lawsuit for inflation I wonder if that’s the case here?Reviewed 24 Feb 2024

Pros:I rented a VW Jetta and the car was in perfect conditions and sanitized for the Covid 19.Cons:I don´t appreciate being pushed for insurance. When booking in Kayak, every time I would like information about insurance options. I don´t like going to the car rental counter and having to argue under pressure with the rental company representative.Reviewed 19 Nov 2020

Cons:When I got there they tried to rip me with the cost for insurance. I walked out and did not rent the car. It was the worst car rental experience I have ever had in 31 years renting a car in Cancun.Reviewed 18 Dec 2019

Pros:The car itself was fine.Cons:Totally ripped me off. The Kayak shown price was $21 for the weekend, INCLUDING taxes. That’s why I chose this reservation—even though it was a dinky little car, that was a fantastic sale price. When I arrived, there was mandatory insurance, a different rate, new taxes, and mandatory prepaid tank of gas, all resulting in a price of $175 for the weekend—almost 9 times more than I had planned to pay. By the time I was there it was too late to change to another company... no need to spend more hours of an already short weekend getaway shopping for rental cars. But this was totally deceptive and I’m very unhappy. Kayak should not be listing Alamo’s deceptive prices in the future.Reviewed 17 Dec 2019

Pros:The car was the exact size we neededCons:Price. I booked the car rental and price including taxes and fees were 126 dlls. Over there I had to pay 420 dlls and this had extra fees and taxes which made no sense for me I’m pretty frustrated and furious to have to pay more than double of what I was toldReviewed 19 Sept 2019
