One way or another you're going to end up paying the rate they wantPros:Everything about Enterprise is great as long as you don't mind they are not located at the airport but just a bit north of the airport along the main highway.Cons:I had a seemingly very good deal for a Jetta including the mandatory liability insurance, but it turned out when picking up the car that the included insurance only covered the car up to 75,000 MXN and the coverage needs to be 2,500,000 MXN so that raised the rates by $10 per day and then I also had to pay an extra $30 for an extra day although my pickup date/time and return date/time were basically what I originally entered into Expedia. I'm positive that all the agencies are playing these monetary shell games so the only distinguishing factor across agencies is the level of service and how picky they are about the condition of the car when returned.Reviewed 7 Nov. 2017

Renter bewarePros:I went with enrerprise due to its price and company history. The car was reserved at a price of $7 a day for 11 days, not bad right? Once we got there we were forced to buy insurance which was was stated as optional online, the price went from $77 to $280. Upon returning the price went up even further, apparently this location has some magical peso to conversion rate at 22-1, this does not work as the car was quoted in US dollars and charged in pesos based on this magical conversion rate but is converted at the discretion of the CC company, endiing price, $320 US, big difference from $77.Reviewed 29 Dec. 2016

NOT LOCATED BY THE AIRPORT, SURPRISE YOU WITH "REQUIRED" INSURANCEPros:Car itself was clean and functional.Cons:- I selected this location because it was in the airport. It is not. It is a 15 minute bus ride away. There is a shuttle, but I only found out about the shuttle at the airport, because I couldn't find their office, and it helped that I speak Spanish fluently. - When you make the reservation on the website, there is nothing stating that you have to buy their insurance. Yet when I got there they gave me no option. They say my credit card doesn't cover it. Had I known, I could have been prepared to show the necessary insurance policy to show my coverage. The insurance was 3 times more than the actual rental rate. - Not at all what I thought I was getting in terms of price, convenience or location. Kayak you need to take responsibility and update your site as it currently has incorrect and inaccurate information, which I depended on when making my reservation.Reviewed 16 May 2017

Mediocre experience, though not atypical for any cPros:Very friendly staff. Amazed how professionally they dealt with some real attitude-infested tourists who talked down to them as if they owned the country. I would not have handled it so professionally. Customer is King, until the King becomes stupid... (-:Cons:Not specific to this location, but still stubbornly frustrating experience with car rentals in LatAm. 1) Misleading car pictured; Premium car advertized with a Mercedes picture. NONE available, not now, not anytime, that is classic bait and switch nonsense. Not unique to this location/agency, but an industry practice it seems. Still frustrating. I got a Dodge Durango - couldn't be further from a Mercedes C class. 2) Car had 78,000 km on it, and while i had no technical issues with it, obviously the interior/exterior show their age. Taking clients around in it was somewhat embarrassing. 3) It is apparently law in a some LatAm countries to have to BUY minimum insurance for liability. Why then is it so difficult to list that in the price? It's a flat rate, per day, and if you told me in advance, you'd save me the annoyance of finding out at arrival that my mandatory insurance costs 2 times the daily rate of my car, having to search on data roaming whether that is true or not, and feeling just a little bit cheated. 4) Tank was empty, had 30 miles range left when i picked up car 5) Again, seems local custom: $900 deposit for the car. Happened to me in Mexico and Costa Rica, nowhere else in the entire world. WHY? The amount certainly does not cover the cost of a lost car, or any major damage, yet they have to charge an arbitrary amount. Silly. 6) Keyless key was hidden in sunglass compartment; had me panicked after realizing 40 miles after pickup that i do not have a key. Should be left in an obvious/visible place. 7) Pickup and drop off process at all of these agencies remains stupidly inefficient. All these documents, clauses, etc. should be made available and signed in advance, saving the silly wait, and effectively forcing you to sign something without reading it, in a rush.Reviewed 11 Oct. 2016

Over chargedCons:They will say they are charging you one price but charge you another. Be very careful with this place. It will not be a lot of money but still be carful!!Reviewed 21 Feb. 2017

Worst rental experience ever...Pros:NothingCons:The vehicles are not serviced regularly. I was given a Chevy sedan with a broken clutch. When I complained they told me I could only get an automatic vehicle if I paid extra. The location is terrible. Will never rent a car here ever again.Reviewed 23 Mar. 2018

beware $30/day "required" insurance not included iCons:Didn't learn that in addition to the $23/day I was expecting to pay for my car, there would also be an additional $30/day charge for "required" insurance that I could not decline until I was at desk in Cancun. Walked next door to Budget which also required me to buy insurance, but at least it was 'only' $15/day...Reviewed 26 Dec. 2016

Cons:Falsely advertised at $2 per day. I was forced to buy 22$ per day insurance. Then gas tank would not fill meter past 1/2. Scam to get you to put more money in tank.Reviewed 10 Apr. 2017

Pros:Customer Service was excellent. The car was new and spotlessly clean and ready for us to drive away. The advertised daily rate was very competitive.Cons:(1)There was no Enterprise desk at the airport, leaving us to stand at the curb waiting for an Enterprise van to take us to the off-campus location, despite the "on-air port premises" lead on. (2)The unnoticed yet required insurance doubled the daily rate-an unpleasant surprise for sure.Reviewed 4 Jan. 2017

"Mandatory" liability insurance for Mexico rentalPros:Car was low miles and relatively clean. Cold AC.Cons:Reserved a small car in Cancun for $20 a day with pickup at airport counter. Got to the airport, no Enterprise counter. Had to call to find out they would send a van for us. Took more than an hour. Once at remote location, was informed that I had to buy "mandatory" insurance that doubled the cost of the rental to more than $40 a day. Car was a Chevy built for the Mexico market, missing essentials that Americans are used to. No airbags, no power steering, no power brakes, no power windows, no cruise control. Window wipers were terrible and totally out of cleaning fluid. Driving that car through the Yucatán was kind of scary.Reviewed 7 Jan. 2017

Pros:The car was ready on time and in good condition. The staff was pleasant and professional. Pick-up and drop off was easy.Cons:I did not like the fact that the advertised price has nothing to do with the real cost after you add in taxes, rental fees and INSURANCE PREMIUM FEES that more than doubles the advertised price. This is a way of making a lot of money by scaring you into purchasing insurance and is typical of all Mexican car rentals. It is impossible to understand the insurance scam when the English is hard to understand but you know you`re getting ripped off.Reviewed 31 Dec. 2016
